Joe the Plumber to head to Israel as a war correspondent

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28542733/

Okay what is the deal? He is getting more than his fifteen minutes of fame. It's disgusting.

DrPhil 01-07-2009 08:32 PM

And who says America isn't dumb?

He's got bills to pay.

Especially since he doesn't, and probably never will, make that $250,000...

Not only is he becoming a war correspondent, but he is also writing a book! I can't imagine what he could possibly have to write about quite frankly.

He'll get sponsorships with Cialis, NASCAR, Phillip Morris and CMT...

Hayle, Joe the Plumbers gotta eat, too! :D

@bolded

It will be a good book, soft cover, lots of mazes, connect the dots, paint by numbers, large print with butterflies and ladybugs...

^^^ LOL! Don't you mean color by number? Po' folks in da Park (aka mobile homes) can't 'fford no paint. Crayons are less than a dollar.

My question is who is going to be his ghost thinker/writer? He'll need both badly.

And yet another issue I had with him. Since he wasn't making anywhere near that amount of money, why was he even asking Obama about that anyway? He never planned to vote for Obama (no surprise there), but yet he felt the need to try and put Obama on the spot about an issue that really didn't even apply to him or affect him.

Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin are equals to me. They said and did what they were told to do by the republican party leaders/ JMac campaign heads. They clearly do not think for themselves.

Joe the Plumber is probably going over there for a new reality TV series based on 24 like Jack Bauer with a "war correspondent"... Hope he has a good detail...

I'm pretty sure no one says America isn't dumb, since over half our population can't find Iraq on a map and I just watched a guy be stumped for 3 minutes over whose picture is on the $1 bill.

From last night's Daily Show: The Middle East crisis to be seen from the little-seen plumber's perspective

Somewhere in the United States a Journalism Major weeps.

There has to be a Super Mario joke in here somewhere.

nittanyalum 02-04-2009 02:54 PM

Ok, this continues to get more ridiculous with this guy -- GOP party faithful, the sooner this guy's 15 minutes of fame are over, the better. Bringing him in to "advise" on policy isn't going to increase anyone's faith in the Republicans' decision-making. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/18324

Dubbed Joe the Plumber by McCain's campaign, Samuel Joe Wurzelbacher was held up as an example of an American worker who would be hurt economically by Obama's election. Wurzelbacher says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting and explaining why Israeli forces are mounting attacks against Hamas.

This is actually hilariously good spam - whoever designed this bot, bravo.

I certainly won't go out of my way to watch him, but then again, I try to avoid lots of imbecilic types already on TV, so what's one more person who may or may not be as ridiculous as some who take up airspace every night?

If you don't like Joe, then don't watch. I avoid Olbermann like the plague. It's all about choice.
