YAY!!!! Holy crap, I'm on the board the same time AF is!! It's been a minute since THAT'S happened! Hi AF! *waving*

SWTXBelle 01-04-2009 08:03 PM

Beatings are too good for them.

AlphaFrog 01-04-2009 08:04 PM

I miss you, nittanyalum!

nittanyalum 01-04-2009 08:07 PM

I miss you too! Where the hell have you been?!?? (besides the husband, kids, job thing... ;))

AlphaFrog 01-04-2009 08:10 PM

Dealing with the crazy new admin asst. She not only is talking to herself, but now I've heard her LYING to herself. I really think she's schizo, but the boss won't let me get rid of her until after yearend is finished, because we need the extra help.

Oh, and she has worse grammar than Larry the Cable Guy sloshed in a trailer park - and a worse potty mouth. You know how I feel about that. And she stares at my chest. Ew.

nittanyalum 01-04-2009 08:11 PM

AGH! Ok, absences excused, then! ;)

jessica.lanelle 01-04-2009 08:39 PM

I think they are absolutely pitiful.

33girl 01-04-2009 09:23 PM

I think they should stop eating prune tacos.

Xidelt 01-04-2009 11:07 PM

I think they deserve a gift certificate for a free kick in the face.

Their thread ideas aren't much worse than the threads posted by longtime GCers...

Hmm...

Well, I know that mods could potentially confirm this.

I wish that the trolls would at least be fun trolls......

Not a big deal. It isn't any worse than the moronic threads started by Moe.ron a moderator. I am sure you all enjoyed the thread on toilet paper and do you fold or cumple.

I am sure Moe.ron also holds the record for starting the most Star Wars/Star Trek threads.

Agreed - we're all guilty of starting inane threads, whether trolls or longtime GCers...

Can someone tell me how he became a mod?

Hey, someone mentioned prunetacos's shenanigans on GC again.

cheerfulgreek 01-05-2009 06:39 PM

I think it just depends on who's starting the thread. It could be inane, but if the right member starts it, then it's not considered inane.

This post is pointless without links to the threads, Kevin. ;)

That whole thing is so bizarre; I'm still waiting for someone's GC posts to come up when they run for public office...

How had I never seen that connection before? I knew that dude was supposed to be obsessed with Kappa, but I didn't know he posted here. Have you all discussed it extensively before? Was that really his user name?

Sorry for being so clueless and behind, but wow.

AKA_Monet 01-06-2009 01:05 AM

"I like chocolate milk!" That's what I think about trolls who register for message boards & start inane threads...

It gets juicy around #96.

PANTHERTEKE 01-06-2009 04:33 AM

I think they sometimes serve their purpose- to entertain and/or stir up the pot.

But then again I am easily entertained. I enjoy the majority of troll threads.

No, I'm not. It's just that some members are like the kid on the playground that everyone picks on. I've seen really inane, dumb threads that other members start(ed) that everyone seems to like for whatever reason, but because that particular member started the thread, the thread all of a sudden becomes not so inane. And what I don't get is if you think the thread is inane, why even post on it? Just because certain members think a thread is inane, doesn't mean it's inane to others.

srmom 01-06-2009 06:00 PM

Wow, I just read the thread about that crazy guy posting who turned out to be the anthrax killer. How creepy is that?!?

It makes me wonder how often one is innocently posting on a website and conversing with some nut job!!!

Many years ago I was working out at a gym (it had to be MANY years ago - no more gyms for me!) and I was on a treadmill next to this guy and we started up a conversation. He seemed nice enough, friendly and not creepy at all. So fast forward a year or so and he is on the front page of the paper for killing his family and trying to burn the house down to cover it up. I needed a bleach bath after that!!!

Goes to show that it's hard to get a true read on people through just a conversation. Over the internet, it would be even trickier, although the guy's posts scream, "I'm CRAZY!!"

HAAAA. This cracked me up.

I think because I can totally relate. To feeling like you need a bleach bath, not to getting chatted up by a murderer/arsonist.
