I didn't watch the first season but I'm thinking I kinda want to now and then tune in to the new season. The OC women are irritating me lately especially Tamra and Icky.

After another year of the OC and a season of Hotlanta, I need my dose of NYC. I'm tired of looking at the way the the OC ladies dress and their road to anorexia.

Was Bethenny THAT skinny before? Seeing her in a bathing suit was painful, you could see every rib, and it looked like she had a hole in her chest because she was so rail thin! I didn't know if she mentioned it at all before, but you could tell she definitely has implants.

I'm sooo over Alex and Simon. Has she never heard of a hairbrush? Seriously.

I haven't watched it yet but I am curious. I killed some brain cells from watching the ladies (and I use the term loosely) of O.C.

I'm trying to figure out who the ladies are, what their stories are and what drama I missed in the first season. Also, what is with the lady with the creepy husband?

Lady with Creepy Hubby are Simon and Alex. They thrive on moving up the social ladder and making "connections". He hasn't come out of the closet yet (or maybe the door swings both ways?).

Does this just start tonight or have I missed episodes? I haven't watched OC so I'm not sure what the timing of the new season is.

The first episode of Season 2 started last Tuesday. So the 2nd episode will be airing tonight. You can probably catch last week's episode tonight as well. That episode was mainly about Jill's party @ the Hamptons and introducing the new Housewife (Kelly BenSimon or something like that).

Huh. I just realized that I have been pronouncing LuAnn's last name completely wrong. LOL! :p

I'm laughing that she blew her gasket b/c of the noise level. Also, she is so attached to that title, it's comical. I don't know why but I kinda like her.

LuAnn is so set on people acknowledging the fact that she is a countess. She comes off way too arrogant. She made people shut up at that benefit, yet she continued to run her mouth. She's definitely not my favorite housewife!

OMG, I hate how Luann refers to herself in 3rd person emphasizing her "countess" title. To me, its not all that impressive.

I missed the first episode but caught last night's episode. New girl Kelly is sort of lame. Overall, I'm just happy to have this show back...I like most of these women so much more than the OC women.

I love Bethany! She is so real and can poke fun at herself. I also love Jill and her mom, they remind me so much of my own mom - always into everyone's business, always meddling, but with love and good intentions (even though it can drive you nuts!!).

I watched this show for the first time last night. That "countess" thing irked me.

I laughed at the "countess" ceremony thingie and the dog birthday party with the peeing lizard.

Betheny and the wig was hysterical. Also, her "dis-countess" comment was a killer.

How many people want to see the picture of Ramona in Cosmo from 15 years ago? *raises hand* I'm sure I saw it back then, because I never missed an issue.

By the way, if anyone is interested in buying Jill's "Cher wants her outfit back" pants suit, it's for sale. Jill is selling her clothes on eBay now.

I haven't seen enough of Kelly to form an opinion. I do like that they are giving a different perspective on NYC society.

Anybody watch last night??

They all seemed so obnoxious! My husband was with me for about 10 minutes then he got up and said he'd had enough. His comment was, "There is no way these women are real friends, because real friends don't treat each other like that." He's so naive;) Doesn't he know women can be bitches??

When Bethany told Luann that she was going to be on the cover of that magazine and Luann's comment was, "I hope they do retouching." OUCH - what a bitchy thing to say! Then, she tried to cover for it later (doesn't she know it is caught on film - I mean, HELLLOOO, you're on a TV show!) Bethany had a right to be pissed, but the way she carried on about it, then tried to say she didn't care. Yeah right! If you don't care then guilt trip the person with one statement and let it go, otherwise you come off as a whiney child.

Then, Ramona calling out Luann for marrying some old guy - right in front of her daughter!! What a BITCH!!

AND, what can I say about Alex and her husband = YUCK!!! The way they were talking to that architect, Geesh, if I were him, I'd run away as quickly as possible!

The only one I love, even though she can be a pain is Jill. I wish I had a Jewish mom like her!!

All in all, the trainwreck was more painful to watch last night, but somehow I'm fascinated! What is wrong with me?!!!!

I totally agree! Although I think the only ones that call each other friends are Bethenny and Jill. I felt sorry for Luann when Ramona made those comments about her husband. Luann may say some pretty harsh things (like what she said to Bethenny) but Ramona was completely in the wrong, especially in front of Victoria.

I'm so over Ramona, she thinks she's the shit. The whole thing about her knowing everything about that designer/architect guy and Kelly didn't, just cause she was "smart enough" to look it up on Google.

No lie!!! That was so ridiculous that she googled the architect so that she could sound informed at that museum!!! You go to a museum to learn and become informed, not to impress people with stupid bon mots that you looked up on Google!!! What a joke!

Ramona reminds me of (this is so mean but I have to say it) white trailer trash who won the lottery. NO CLASS!!

Watching the same rerun twice reminds me of how annoying the taller woman is.

Okay, when she was hosting the benefit dinner and the woman said her husband was old, she made a scene about it in front of her daughter and went on and on and on even after the woman apologized.

Fast forward to lunch the next day when her friend confronts her on the airbrushing comment. The tall lady was like "I wanted to protect you" and "I think you're hypersensitive." She did not want to apologize.

Okay...SHE is hypersensitive but you demanded an apology about a comment over your husband's age? And then the tall lady says her friend kept going on and on and on about how she was offended about the airbrushing comment. But didn't the tall lady go on and on and on about the husband comment?

Ok so I just watched last Tuesday's episode this weekend and I was totally apalled and couldn't stop watching of course.

The thing that grated on my last nerve (and GC experts correct me if I'm wrong), is how Kelly would refer to Ally in the 3rd person. She's great, She's cute, etc. I was always taught if someone is in the room, you refer to them by name or in the 2nd person. Am I incorrect? I just thought it was totally rude and sort of like Ally wasn't even there.

Should she even really be surprised? She was something like his fourth wife!

AMEN!!! I was totally shocked at her incredibly rude behavior towards Bethany in "the meeting" at the bar. Totally unbelieveably nasty and hostile. I was amazed that Bethany's hair didn't explode into flames! Mine would!

I thought it was funny how Kelly kept saying that Bethenny acted sophomoric and high school-ish, but Kelly was giving the play-by-play to anyone who would listen. I loved how LuAnn was kinda sticking up for Bethenny, I wish the things she said in the "confessional" would have been said directly to Kelly.

Who does that though? I'm gonna invite the person I don't like to lunch so I can tell her that I don't like her & never will. :confused:

today I found out that Gawker has my favorite recaps of this show. wow.

Thought I'd bump this thread as this season is almost over and the reunion show is coming up next week.

The whole thing between Bethenny and Kelly is ridiculous.

Also with the charity thing...why is Kelly still involved with the organization of it if she doesn't want to put her name on the invitation???

Ok...Kelly's lateness problem really bugs me. I personally do not like people being extremely late just because they are. The whole thing with her Halloween party...if she had stuff planned with her daughters and her parents before hand, she should have had her party start later.

Ok, so who watched both reunion episodes?? I'm glad that both Kelly and Ramona got called out several times for their antics. Completely ridiculous.

I did think it was funny b/c last season everyone was all over Alex and Simon and this season they were hardly on and Alex barely spoke during either show.

I liked the seating setup, you could see it was based on the season. I love Jill and Bethenny.

I watched both. I really can't stand Ramona, she truly lives in her own little world. Sometimes I'm surprised that the cast even gets along with how much they were arguing at this reunion.

I REEEALLY don't like Kelly. I seriously think she's drunk all the time because she always conveniently forgets what she says. Then she contradicts what she says... like when LuAnne asked if she had a lot of girlfriends and Kelly said "Oh yea, I have TONS of girlfriends!" then like 5 seconds later said she had only 3 real friends and tons of acquaintances.

Alex hardly peeped a word.

That's my theory too. She sometimes slurs her speech and is often remarkably inarticulate. And she forgets things all the time. Plus the time she yelled at Betheny, she was just like on a different planet...completely disconnected from reality and acting sloppy drunk.

Did anyone else catch on the reunion show when she said one of the reasons she only stays at parties for five minutes is because she doesn't drink? I was surprised by that/don't believe her.

Then when Bethany confronted her about it she got all defensive and kept telling B to stop attacking her and to calm down. What a weirdo.

I didn't catch that. I don't believe her either. She also said something about, "I show my respect by just showing up, I say hello to everyone and then leave"

I never liked Ramona and the reunion show just shows me how much i was right. I loved how Jill, Bethenny and LuAnn were talking about how much of a drama queen Mario is and Ramona just kept arguing with them.

I did miss a bunch of what was said, because my friend decided to have a crisis and kept me on the phone for much of both reunion shows, so i'm a little disappointed I miss a lot of it.

Although I did hear the part about Alex loosing her job, and telling Kelly how inarticulate she is. And then hearing Kelly's story about the boyfriend beating allegations. I do feel bad for LuAnn that she was broken up via email, and the whole "Princess without Principles" cracked me up.

Obviously, Season 4 has started. I didn't want to start a new thread so I am just bumping up this one. Did anyone else watch?

I have to say Jill is on my last damn nerve. I think her true colors showed last season and Ramona called it when she said that Jill is your friend until you start succeeding at something (aka Bethenny) and then she gets upset. Jill really pissed me off when she started trash talking about Alex at the wedding saying she was mingling with people who are so far above her station. WTF?!? Seriously? Attitude like that makes me think BITCH!!! It's irritating that she acts like she has no idea why Bethenny "dumped" her as a friend. Really? Talk about being in denial.
The only thing I agree with her on is the wearing of cream, linen and/or off white at a wedding unless specified by the bride that it's o.k.

Kelly. Still freaking insane. She keeps talking (and blogging) about staying away form negativity & gossip yet she herself gets catty when she mentions that Alex & Simon go to the opening of an envelope AND she also comments that being a model only means you're photogenic, not beautiful. Bitchy much?

I actually like Alex and Ramona. I'm still on the fence on Sonya and the new girl Cindy. Obviously, Jill and Kelly are on my shit list. Lol!

I missed most of it due to a late flight last night, but am catching pieces of it on the DVR. Can't stand Jill either. I read somewhere that she and her sister did not get along because of her sister's success until it came time to write "the book".

I don't know if you saw her on Watch What Happens Live last night but she looked like a cross between a dominatrix and Snooky. That woman has no business wearing her hair away from her face with that profile.

Alex did not win the gene pool. She is simpering ugly. And she is a thug in a cocktail dress. There is a caveat in life: just because you were repressed doesn't mean you have to confront people over a floral arrangement. I love Jill, but the outfit on Watch What's Happening...vomit. Kelly is on her meds. Ramona...sorry babe setting people up makes good television but it doesn't make you nice.

Alex and Ramona wearing white or cream to a wedding? Didn't anyone every tell them that it is a huge faux pas? Or maybe Alex, that's how they do it in the suburbs.
