What kind of calendar do you use?

For the past 11 years, we have purchased a "Black Cat" wall calendar, because we had a black kitty. He passed away two weeks ago, and we couldn't find this year's new calendar in the stores, so we had to choose a new one. We ended up getting a "Bad Kitty" calendar, which has captions and pictures for each day, a la "LOL Cats". This is the kitchen calendar which hangs next to the door that leads to the garage.

I usually get a one-a-day calendar as a gift, which I keep on my desk upstairs, but I found a Su Doku calendar that I intended to give away but kept instead.

Does anyone else have a favorite type of calendar?

iCal, since I'm glued to my laptop anyway.

I like having a wall calendar even though I also have a planner. I never write anything on my calendar. I've had Boston Terriers for 2008 & 2009. I think the year before that was National Geographic.

I use my planner also. I do hang the wall calendar that the Humane Society sends me though in the office.

Ditto, but I'm a freak, so I also carry a Franklin Planner with monthly calendar and daily pages. Since I now have an Iphone, I should probably get rid of the planner.

In my office I have a Yankees calendar on one of the walls, and one of those big desk calendars.

Every year for Christmas, my mom gets me a frog wall calendar. I always carry a small leather-bound planner from Crane and co in my purse.

I keep a hanging calendar on my wall at work. We used to get free ones from our printers, so I would just take one of those. They were usually really nice rural or local photos from around the state. We didn't get any last year, so I bought one on Great Britain in early January when they were all on sale. I really liked that one, so I think I'll look for another one like it this year.

I love my Coach planner, and I also use the calendar in my phone.

Wall calendar, always. I've tried to use planners, but always forget to look at them.

I use my email calendar at work and a hanging calendar at home for social things. I've had the same one for a couple years and I love it. It's a "Men are Like.." calendar and it has a hot guy and a funny saying for each month. This month's is "Men are like.. diamond rings. It's nice to have a big one wrapped around your finger!"

I use a daily planner, but hang a wall calendar in my cube. It flip-flops between horses or muscle cars.

I live off my Outlook calendar at work and then iCal at home, but for some reason I still love the dry erase kind. I look forward to changing it and writing events down at the start of every month!

Outlook calendar at work and one of those big desk blotter calendars on the kitchen wall for home/family.

I need to use my Palm phone calendar more though, too often something is on the work/home calendar and NOT on my phone!

Usually I get a squirrel calendar but didn't get around this year.
For the house, it's Tuscany (cause I reallllllly want to go.)
For work, I have "Playing with Food" or something like that, it's cute animals made from food.:D

Zephyrus 12-31-2008 09:06 PM

I usually get my calenders for free. My job hands them out every year. No pictures, just the company logo. Pretty simple.

cutiepatootie 01-01-2009 04:46 AM

the calender in my phone, outlook in my laptop and home computer ,and a huge wall calender for home...single working mom with a nine year old who has tons of activities ( and so do I ). I have to be on top of it and cover all bases.

I always buy a big office style calendar for home. It's my master calendar and I write everything on it.

Also, my good friend, who is English and lives in the UK, sent me a calendar for Christmas this year. Making reference to my military affiliations, he sent me the "Royal Navy Official Calendar 2009" with the note: "Sadly, you're not eligible for the 'real deal', so you'll just have to look at the pictures. Never mind, I'm sure your Navy will be nearly as good."

This year is the 3rd time I'll have Hello Kitty. It is tradition for my boyfriend to get me the new one every summer. It comes with cute stickers and the characters birthdays (which I could do w/o, but whatever). This year the cover is pink poodle themed, which has a very special meaning to me and I couldn't be more thrilled.

I always get a planner from the big boss every holiday, and I'd rather have a desk or wall calendar. I have my electronic planner on my mac, and a paper one put out by the school which has dates important to us. I buy calendars on sale, last year I got one of The Police but not sure about this year.

The big boss gave me Far Side one year, Sierra Club, and this year Ansel Adams. I told him I actually cut the pictures out and use them for art around the house or to make other things. I'm kind of big on reusing and recycling as i won't regift the planner.

Thetagirl218 01-02-2009 05:45 PM

We have a "Boxer dog" calender downstairs for the family though we haven't found a new one yet.

I usually have a cute flower one that I get cheap some where for my room.

I always try to keep a planner but stop using it a few months later.

I have a big wall calender on my desk in my classroom so I can write conferences and meetings down.

I am rolling at the idea of a Greyhound bus calendar.

You could have the baby/mini bus, a bus in the garage, 2 busses sitting beside each other, a bus on the road, a bus with all its lights on at night...

I love the idea of a dry erase calendar! I may have to start that.

I always had a calendar as a kid, my mom used it as an incentive program for me. Cats, Barbie, etc. Oddly enough I don't have one now as a 'grown up' and just use a planner or iCal.
