I did a search but didn't find a thread about any recent True Life episodes. I was watching reruns last night and caught the "I'm a Southern Belle" episode following the lives of 3 girls in Oxford, Mississippi. It looks like atleast one of the girls, Raini (pageant girl with the boyfriend) was in a sorority at Ole Miss. It also got me thinking of the Made episode a few years back of another girl from Ole Miss who wanted to be on Broadway- she was in a sorority too but I never caught which one.

It's really just out of curiousity, but does anyone know which NPCs those two girls belonged to?

Wasn't her name Raini Fountain or something odd like that?

I'm not sure, I wish I would've paid more attention when they announce her name during the pageant. I'm bored at work, guess I'll do some googling to find some answers.

Hmmm...I have no idea she was in one. I was trying to figure out the girl from "I'm on a Diet" from OSU which sorority she was in, and couldn't find it.

I do love "True Life"...its the only MTV show left that I really do like to watch!

I found her on Facebook, and it doesn't seem like she belongs to the Ole Miss network. It just says "Hattiesburg, MS" as her network.

I saw that as I was flipping through and figured that I'd missed something, because that guy couldn't possibly be asking his girlfriend to be the girlfriend of him AND THE BABYMAMA. Apparently, that's really what was happening. As my 2 year old would say, "WoooooOOOOOoooooow".

I read somewhere that Raini was a Theta and that the other girl Leigh Ann was a Kappa.

Do you have links or anything?

Raini isn't listed anywhere on the Theta website. I don't know how "easy" it would be if she rushed as a sophomore (fall '08) but she isn't listed as a Fall '07 pledge--which would have been when she was a freshman.

An update at the end of the show said Raini and her boyfriend were planning on transferring to Southern Mississippi the following year. Maybe she rushed there? Still wouldn't explain her not being on Theta's website though.

That episode is the only time MTV has ever filmed at a place I've been to, I think.

Hmmm maybe. The Southern Miss Theta website hasn't been updated, so maybe she did rush. I've seen her "Miss America online" profile and she doesn't mention a sorority affiliation anywhere.

I saw that episode and FELL OUT on the floor at this scene. !

Raini went to old miss and got a bid to Theta but idk if she ever initiated, last i saw on her FB she was planning on transferring to another school in mississippi.

She isn't listed on the Theta website, so I doubt she initiated. Which would mean she technically isn't a Theta.

I never said she IS a Theta I said she got a BID TO Theta but that I did NOT know if she initiated. Those pictures are very clearly from Theta's bid day.

Ummm...i never said you did. I was just referring to the "idk if she initiated" part.

She was going to transfer. Maybe they removed her name from the chapter list?

Could it be possible she was initiated but disaffiliated soon after?
