What do you want for Christmas?

Or whatever holiday you celebrate.

As for me:

*a new DVD player (my old one broke)
*this set of stainless steel cookware I saw at BB&B
*new digital camera
*some new DVDs
*The Godfather screenplay coffee table book I saw at Borders.
*New sheets/comforter set for my bed.

Tippiechick 11-18-2008 02:14 AM

No, I will not wish for things like world peace. Yes, I am a rather selfish bitch.

1. Dvd player for our exercise room
2. Death Race on DVD. Gotta love Jason Statham.
3. an AVEDA gift certificate (get one each year)
4. Target gift certificates
5. Pink towels for my girly bathroom, the guys get the manly bathroom.
6. new set of 800-1000 thread count sheets (I get at least one set every year.)
7. Tickets for a couple of Ole Miss games in 2009
8. A Gail Pittman "Ole Miss" piece
9. Another trip to Mexico
10. Lots of soft blankets. I am a sucker for a soft, cuddly blanket.

HOW COULD I FORGET THESE:
*** Kenny Chesney tickets*** I have SOOOO much fun at his shows!
* Dixie Chicks tickets (if they tour)
* James Taylor tickets
* Kelly Clarkson tickets (if she tours)

LucyKKG 11-18-2008 03:21 AM

A nice travel mug
A Kappa lavalier
An electric skillet

And if such a thing existed, a gift certificate to a store with nice, expensive yarn. (I knit.)

DoubleTDG 11-18-2008 03:22 AM

I would like:
1) a crock pot
2) plane tickets for my study abroad trip

PeppyGPhiB 11-18-2008 03:39 AM

1. A gift card to my spa/salon.
2. A certain sparkly something for my ring finger.

I AM expecting to get one of these.

christiangirl 11-18-2008 06:57 AM

1. Gift cards to Target or Barnes & Noble.
2. A Ripstik (my mom refuses). :(
3. Grey's Anatomy seasons on DVD
4. Warm, fuzzy socks (I heart cool socks!)
5. New scrubs for work
6. A nice-fitting sweater
7. A new bed-in-a-bag I saw at Wal-Mart.

AGDee 11-18-2008 07:17 AM

Just a reminder to be careful about gift cards. They are expecting a lot of retailers to go out of business after Christmas and even if they just file a re-organization bankruptcy, your gift cards will become useless.

Senusret I 11-18-2008 08:19 AM

A laptop computer.

That's all.

LightBulb 11-18-2008 08:33 AM

I would love to learn how to knit! I think it sounds very cozy (and productive!). Have you read The Friday Night Knitting Club? It is novel that I enjoyed but kept thinking I would REALLY like it if I knitted.

My Christmas List:

New coat -preferably something wonderful like a cashmere/camelhair one.
Will probably settle for - anything else my family comes up with!

KSigkid 11-18-2008 02:55 PM

My biggest present will come on 12/17 at 10 pm, when I am done with finals. At this point, I just need some relaxation and reduction in my stress level. Work will be less stressful around that point as well because of how slow the courts are around the holidays.

ThetaPrincess24 11-18-2008 03:12 PM

new cell phone, lia sophia jewelry, sephora gift card, gift cards to my favorite stores (for clothes, sunglasses, shoes, and purses), lenox china place settings and pieces to match, books, charitable donations in my name to Kappa Alpha Theta foundation, CASA, Woodford county humane society, All god's children, and March of Dimes, a job at the local or state health department, xmas decor, a watch, flower of the month club, fruit of the month club, a vacation, and my credit card paid off so I wont be in debt anymore (I only owe $161 and then I'll be debt free!!!).

I would also like my children to accept Christ, join the church, and plan their baptisms.

aephi alum 11-18-2008 04:24 PM

A new job in my field
To lose some weight - or, better yet, a faster metabolism so I can eat whatever I want and not gain an ounce (I hate people who can do that!)
My in-laws to quit nagging me about giving them grandchildren

On a slightly more realistic (and materialistic) note:

New work clothes
A gift certificate to a good yarn store (thanks for the idea LucyKKG... I knit too)
A kitty cat
A nice big silk bathrobe and cozy slippers
A good directional lamp so that I can work on my cross stitch without DH complaining that the room is too bright

txdiva 11-18-2008 04:42 PM

-An Amazon.com gift certificate
-A new DVD player (mine broke months ago)

- Gamma Phi to return to TX State

That'll do.

KatieKate1244 11-18-2008 04:46 PM

A washer and dryer.
A new sewing machine.
A few pairs of warm, wool socks.
A really nice pair of snow boots.
Sephora gift card.
Maybe an electric blanket.
Peacock lamp from Lowes
A mirror I found at Lowes

I really hope I don't get any books/DVDs/CDs as I'm already up to my ass in books I have yet to read/DVDs to watch/etc.

epchick 11-18-2008 04:55 PM

-A job, preferably the one with the city

I honestly only knit scarves because they're easy. (Just knit a rectangle! No crazy complicated stuff like socks...) Nope, haven't read it.
I really like knitting scarves for people because it's really personal and I actually worked to make them something.

You selfish bitch;) Think of me -- throw something on someone from the top of the Eiffel Tower:) That will appease me as I sit in cold, yet snowless, Tennessee.

I can't wear pants from American Eagle anymore, or I get plumber crack.

Sad, I know. And a little TMI.

summer_gphib 11-20-2008 07:06 PM

A swimming pool. The one I have designed should be right at 40k. So that's not happening this year! I'll take money to go toward my paver patio, that will eventually become part of my pool deck. I'm working on it in stages.

I'm thinking National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation right now after what you said.
