Black Gay Fraternity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've noticed that there are lots of black gay men who would love to pledge Fraternities, but they are not accepted for who they are. I am a very strong supporter for gay men in fraternities, but hiding ones true self is not the way to go.

I've also noticed that there are underground sororities, but these are black gay men who are pledging in sororities. Although I am a strong believer of gay men in fraternities I do find this to be very disrespectful to the real women who have worked hard to claim the name!

So in 2009 I will start a new breed a fraternities for black gay men nation wide. No, we will not be apart of the Divine Nine as we shall start our own chapters, brotherhood and legacies just like you did!

We are not some Fraudulent ******** organization, unlike the MIAKAs OR DELTA GENTS. So ALPHA PHI ALPHA AND ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA MEET ALPHA IOTA ALPHA. The name is not set in stone yet but I thought it would be nice to keep the ALPHA at the beginning and ALPHA at the end to symbolize that we are the first FATHERS and FOUNDERS of black gay Greek nation wide.

WILD IN WHITE

OUTRAGEOUS IN ORANGE!

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!

knight_shadow 10-20-2008 01:02 PM

I think Delta Phi Upsilon beat you to the punch.

Senusret I 10-20-2008 01:10 PM

And then came Gamma Mu Phi.

Nice colors, though.

So did Alpha Lamabda Zeta which is an all female fraternity. I've asked so many people who are of Greek affiliation which gay frat I should pledge and not one person could give me the name of any Fraternity, which they are pretty much unknown, no shade to them.

OK. That just means you need to do a little research. Now you have two organiations to choose from.

Senusret I 10-20-2008 01:19 PM

Have you ever been to a gay black pride celebration?

I THINK I WILL JUST ADD ANOTHER ORGANIZATION TO THE MIX

Senusret I 10-20-2008 01:57 PM

If that's the case, I find it hard to believe you've never seen a member of a black gay fraternity, or people who could link you to one.

Anyway, look into the two fraternities posted.

I thought your use of the alphas signified your being "first"?

Whatever, though. You do you. Good luck.

I also stated that the name is not set in stone yet. there is still time to get it right. THE THIRD TIME IS USUALLY THE CHARM.

I haven't seen a black gay fraternity in Atlanta, Georgia for pride. Maybe your are mistaken another organization such as a house for black gay fraternity.

...unless the first two are already doing the job.

It's usually a lot easier to ask an existing organization to expand as opposed to starting your own.

I am not mistaken.

Perhaps your pride experience begins when the sun goes down and not during the workshops and exhibitions?

It would be a charm if there wasn't also Kappa Psi Kappa and Lambda Phi Theta, too.

I hope this guy comes back and tells Senusret all about how black gay men aren't accepted in Alpha Phi Alpha. That would make my day.

I love how stupid people continue to be in the age of Google.

jojapeach 11-17-2008 10:12 PM

I'm late, but...

^^^ His high school teachers would be ashamed at the lack of primary research. But it's entertaining how this thread resembles a "Legally Blonde" moment:

"Do you think he just woke up one day and said, 'I think I'll become a founder of a gay fraternity?'"

I know this is late, but I couldn't help myself.

Hey SenusretI! Have U told you lately that I heart you?

Anywho, in case the posted comes back (which I doubt), I will happily point you in the direction of several Black Gay fraternity members (all from orgs listed here).

While it's true these orgs don't usually have tables in the ATLPride marketplace, they're easy to spot.

This implies that you actually attend something other than the parties/BBQs of course.

Gay Fraternities

Let's not!

Ex_Klusive 12-19-2008 02:29 AM

I would hope you really do your research first before starting another org. We should try to join one the established and growing orgs such as Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity,Inc (recruiting now for spring 09). The field is getting crowded and we are all trying to do the same things.

DeltaMAn08 12-19-2008 04:14 AM

We are the 1st Gay Black fraternity!

Hello Greeks!

Dela phi Upsilon was founded in the year of 1985, as a Black organization to service to "our" kind.

Reminds me of another organization I know. I'm all for new organizations that want to serve and be a support to the under-represented, but let's try to be more creative. Contrary to what people say, imitation is NOT the sincerest form of flattery IMO, it's plain disrespectful.

Ex_Klusive 12-24-2008 03:04 AM

Actually no one is trying to Imitate anyone...once again if had done ur research on our org rhoyaltempest you would know which orgs we were modeled after. Being model after what came first is no where near imitate anyone or anything. Trust that was just the foundation. The only disrespect i see is what u are throwing our way

Senusret I 12-24-2008 08:47 AM

Why should she have to do research when the first things your organization displays are that it uses two letters and "konventions" of an existing black fraternity? If I was interested in your org, I wouldn't be inspired to research it further on that fact alone.

Like I said before, get more creative. Among your symbols are the cane and the diamond...really?????

Wow.
