What Type of is Change Coming?
 

After reading the following article, I'm wondering if this is one of the changes we can expect from a President Obama?

As the article indicates towards the end there does seem to be a pattern for this type of behavior.

What Kind that is Sentence?

"Letting little babies die in hospital closets...", wow! Barack really has been busy being a villain? Did he steal the babies, only to leave them to die in hospital closets? Did he pose as a doctor and deliver them, kidnapping them from their mothers and hiding them in hospital closets? Are these his secret children, borne from all the white women he's been sleeping with? Were these hospital linen closets, or supply closets?

I lol'd. Obviously it's talking about when in the Illinois Senate he voted against the bill to protect infants which are live-born during attempted abortions though. I don't care about abortion as an issue but if you do that's a big one, particularly since a nearly identical bill passed the US Senate unanimously.

For Obama supporters, looking at his record of either voting 'with the party' or 'abstaining' when does this change plan to start? I might be persuaded to see your side if he actually backed up his 'change all' attitude, but I'm just not convinced. He won't rock the boat in his own party, how's he supposed to rock the rest of us?:(

The kind of change that kowtows to whatever group is on his radar??? Why else would he have different logos for different groups?

I've yet to find someone who can explain the "to what?" part of "we need change".

Don't know if there is any way for people to go back and watch it, but there is a really great special on PBS right now. Frontline.

Funny to hear Obama giving the same (literally word for word!) 'change' speech for the last 10 years of his short career. :D

It's already happening bub. Nationalization of the banks. Don't need Barack to do it, it took Bush/Paulson to do so.

The article is from World Net Daily, hardly a source I trust too much for any thing coming close to objectivity.

But really, what was in that article about what an Obama presidency would be like? That someone -- in this case, a campaign worker -- seems to have made a report to the Secret Service that turned out not to have a basis? (Of course, it's not clear from the article whether the campaign worker did so intentionally or unintentionally -- is it possible that the campaign worker misunderstood what was said on a cellphone in a moving car?) That the Secret Service did what they're supposed to do under the circumstances? What does any of this have to do with an Obama presidency.

Folks on the left made the same hysterical claims about what the Bush presidency would be like.

But hey, at least this guy didn't say Obama is the Anti-Christ? :rolleyes::rolleyes:

According to Snopes.com this story can not yet be verified. However, they are reporting that the Obama campaign and the Secret Service are investigating.

As I noted before, when I worked in adult psych, any time the Pres or VP were going to be in town, the secret service showed to interview at least one of our patients because they had a history of making a death threat against the person. It happened all the time. If that campaign worker misheard her comment about dying babies on the floor and thought she was referring to Obama dying, then yes, the Secret Service is going to show up. That's the way things are since Presidents have been assassinated. that's what the Secret Service does for all Presidents/candidates of both parties. It's not new, it's not out of the ordinary.

If this is true then that volunteer should be thrown in jail. Hopefully it was just a big misunderstanding.

ABSOLUTELY! I made the same point in another thread, and this is what was sent to me. I would've posted the same thing had it been about McCain. People are voting 'blindly' without knowing ANYTHING about who they are picking, or really even caring.

Something else my dad sent me today...when did we start letting old people use the internet!? LOL!

There's an old sea story in the Marine Corps about a lieutenant who inspected his Marines in the field, and afterward told the "Gunny" that the men smelled bad. The lieutenant suggested the solution is that they should change underwear.


The Gunny responded, "Aye, aye, sir, I'll see to it immediately!" The Gunny went straight to the squad tent and announced, "The lieutenant thinks you guys smell bad, and wants you to change your underwear. THE MORAL: A candidate may promise 'change' in Washington , but don't count on things smelling any better.

They probably do, but just unfortunately weren't listening closely. They just got stopped by a stranger and were asked their opinion not assuming someone was out to "catch" them and just nodded their head or repeated what was said, not realizing that it wasn't accurate because it was being presented as Obama policy, and kept it moving. You'd be surprised how much a person may or may not hear. All the same I can't defend it that much because they might have tried harder to pay attention. Also, how do we know these weren't the worst three they found and that other people did pay attention?

Either way, I'm still SMH cos I would have done a double take at that pro-life isht like "REALLY?"
