Big Brother: Summer 2008

The new season started tonight. Anyone watching? I'm DVRing, so I'll catch up later.

RedefinedDiva 07-13-2008 09:43 PM

I caught the nominations, but not the beginning. I'll be watching it online later tonight or tomorrow.

Velocity_14 07-14-2008 02:56 PM

I watching it on On Demand right now...

LOL @ Michelle!! I feel like singing "Nah nanny boo boo!" LMAO!!

April makes me sick. She is sticking to Ollie like glue, but something is very snaky about him.... April got punchdrunk this week after winning that HOH. She had better watch herself.

Jessie. Must. Go. (As well as Memhis and Michelle)

Folks are sleeping on Jerry, but they shouldn't. The old dude has game! Libra is my homie! Funny that they were the last two standing and April doubted them the whole way.

I know it's a game, but all this 'runteldat' is wack. It's like a game of Gossip. Stuff gets added and taken away, then suddenly, folks want to confront one another and people get "EXPOSED" (a la Thing 1 and Thing 2) It really does more to kill the game than work to anyone's advantage. Angie tried it---GONE! Jessie tried it--- (almost) GONE!

America's Player must be cancelled! Either that or the selected player (i.e., Dan) needs to be a little more suave. He's going to get busted if it goes beyond this week.

MeezDiscreet 08-05-2008 11:40 PM

All of the HOHs get big headed because this season, for some reason, all the housemates vote how the HOH wants them to. That's wack and weak game play.

RedefinedDiva 08-07-2008 08:37 PM

LET THE GAME BEGIN!!!

I'm happy that this week's HOH competition is a "regular" one. I felt that it was far too early in the game to have an "extended" HOH competiton. I like to know who the HOH is before the episode goes off on Thursday.

facebookjunkie 08-07-2008 08:59 PM

i heart big brother

I'm SOOO glad Jessie left, but Michelle is now HOH, I'm sorry for Libra and Keesha, I'm SURE one of them will be up on the chopping block!

RedefinedDiva 08-07-2008 10:24 PM

For some reason, I'm not too worried. With Michelle's rotten luck, the competition vs. a former houseguest might result in her losing HOH privileges or something. She's a loser and even if she gets rid of Libra and Keesha, she'll never win as long as they keep April and Ollie together.

I found it to be so hilarious how April joined Team Michelle when Michelle won the HOH competiton. She was equally as excited as Michelle for the victory. Gimme a break.... Ollie came into the game and the house painting himself as this "holy roller" when, in fact, he is the total opposite. He's a jackass and I wish someone votes his butt out of the house.

I've never been a fan of Michelle, but I was COMPLETELY over her when she had the nerve to say that Libra was a bad mother and deserved to have her kids taken because she didn't go for the letter from home. Honestly, I would have take the trip to Hawaii as well. I do believe that if anything detrimental happened to a close family member, such as spouse or child, CBS would alert the contestant ASAP. Therefore, if she hasn't gotten news that one of her kids lost an eye or arm or something, a damn letter isn't that serious. I'd rather have something "worthwhile" (for lack of better terms) that would be of benefit when I get out of the house. In the event that I got voted out, I'd feel a whole lot better knowing that I at least made out with a trip to Hawaii. Just my opinion....

Can I just say that I am so upset about the whole Veto thing...
Jerry is a cantankerous old fart...
April...no comment : )
I don't understand how when people find out the truth they don't do anything about it...Michelle could have asked Jerry to take Keesha or Libra off so she could have put up April or Dan...
and another thing...what is so wrong with people going against the house when they are in danger...now if Libra would have voted to keep Jessie in the house and then he came after her, who would be there to protect her?

UGH!!! BB makes me so mad sometimes but I SO love the show...

More venting to come later...thank God for this thread because I have NO one else to vent my frustrations to : )

RedefinedDiva 08-13-2008 09:24 PM

They are threatened by Libra. The truth has been revealed that Keesha was the mastermind behind getting Jessie out. We can even throw in the fact that April was the one that put him up. However, whenever you have a chick that plays the game and speaks her mind, she's one of the first to go. Once Libra is gone, they are going to have a hell of a time because everyone wants to go with the flow.

I'm so tired of Jerry claiming that he is going to shake up the game. BOOOOO!!! The ONLY shakeup so far has been Dan's stint as America's Player, but that was swept under the rug.

RULE #1: Always breakup the showmance. They are ALWAYS going to stick together. If they don't break up Ollie and April, everyone can forget it.

This week's HOH competition should be very interesting.

YES BB makes me MADDDDD too! I was pissed off at the fact that Libra made a joke and ONCE AGAIN, they blew it out of proportion. Like April would really give anyone a designer dress!!! come on, a blind man could have seen that was a joke. i'm glad that scheme to get keesha and dlibra mad at each other backfired. the one part that truly pissed me off was that Ollie called Libra a scallywag. I HARDLY EVER cry, but at the moment when she spoke to him in private i got chocked up a bit. and he didn't even seem remorseful at all....i'm starting not to like him:mad:

I think that was an act when she was talking to Ollie in private. Yea, at first she was crying, but then she kind of switched it off. I think her crying was just part of her ploy to throw Keesha under the bus.

Is Dan still America's Player? If he's not, can he tell the other houseguest now? It seems to me that the other hg's suspect that he was. They should just confront him about it and move on. Jerry especially. The speech he gave during the POV ceremony:rolleyes: Either confornt Dan or STFU.

I'm all confused about the whole get Jessie out of the house thing. Wasn't Libra the one going around gathering votes? Why is she saying it was all Keesha's ideal?

Keesha was the one that started the Evict Jessie campaign. Libra was going to go against the alliance off of GP because she wasn't getting down with Jessie. But, as for the rest of the votes, Keesha gathered them because somewhere around the 11th hour, her and Memphis became bosom buddies.

I won't say that Libra is faultless in what she does in the house, but she is no different than anyone else. EVERYBODY lies!! EVERYBODY finds a little story and changes it a little bit, then runs off with it. Libra is made to be the scapegoat for all that is going on when it's other people. They like to flip the script because she puts it out on Front St.

I think that when there is an alliance, they need to be certain about protecting one another and deciding who will the scapegoat or "sacrificial lamb," so to speak. Libra became the scapegoat and didn't even know it. Then Keesha formed a mini-alliance with Memphis and Renny and started the I Hate April campaign. Libra got thrown under the bus to Michelle. On the show Tuesday, Keesha sat right there and let Michelle build a case against Libra, then they showed a clip of the Diary Room session where she said it was all her (Keesha), but she wasn't going to open her mouth. She just let Libra take the fall so that she could save herself.

I don't think Dan can reveal that he's AP. It wouldn't be a good strategic move anyway. Admitting it might take some of the heat off of him from being called Judas, traitor, etc. However, he becomes a target because they know that he already has money and they won't know if he'll be a "swing" vote at some other time.

Jerry goes overboard and so does Michelle. They said some REALLY nasty things after Jessie got voted out. They should be ashamed of themselve. Jerry especially because he's a grandfather. Some of the stuff he does makes me wonder if he's like that at home. If so... whoa! I think Jerry and Michelle are taking the game WAAAAY too personally. Michelle is talking about how this week's nominations were strategic, but it was revenge. You have no choice but to bond with someone that you are around 24hrs/day for 30+ days, but it is A GAME! Get over it and move on.

I don't think Dan is AP anymore (I believe it only lasted one week), but I still don't think he should reveal that.

Yeah, some of the things that come out of Jerry's mouth are like
