7 essential pieces of para - what's in your closet?
 

I dont have a big para collection. A couple of tikis, a couple of pins, a couple of t-shirts, a jacket. oh, and a stuffed black poodle.

now i'd expect your love for Sigma to come from within and not through storebought items but i'd like to ask...what's in your para closet? if you had to compile a list of 7 essential pieces of para, what would they be?

for me:
1. badge (i say this because i know EVERY soror has one)
2. wooden neo pin (who cares if you dont wear it anymore... i was proud of mine when i got it)
3. some sort of poodle (these are hard to find, i discovered. the stuffed one i have was a gift, and the sorors i know who have poodles collect them, including a fanatic soror who got an actual toy poodle)
4. tote bag (i dont know, i love the way our letters look on a tote bag)
5. quality t-shirt (stitching tight, no holes, fits right)
6. ?
7. ?

maybe you have some additions?

1. poodle pin collection
2. SGR kente' cloth stole - to put all of my poodle pins on. ;)
3. key ring - this was one of the first things I bought after I crossed!
4. soda koozie - another first item
5. car decal - gotta let the world know.
6. t-shirts - I agree about the stitching
7. candy jar with the letters on it.

Well, I have too much stuff anyway :p however, my list would include

1. Badge. enough said.

2 A very good quality hat that fits correctly. I'm a baseball hat wear-er and I HATE it when people in general wear hats that don't fit. Makes the head look lopsided or deformed. Yes, I will laugh at you, not with you:cool:

3. Jacket. If you only have one thats fine, but PLEASE spend the money and get the BEST quality one. It will last a lot longer.

4. A nice bag. I have a business bag that works at school or work.

5. A crested paddle or crossing info paddle

6. A Shield/Crest pin in color or gold tone.

7. A nice necklace

2 tikis: 1 wood, 1 blue and gold mirror

1 pouch (for money or credit cards)
1 Coach leather and shearling poodle KeyFOB, not really para per sey but come on now! ;)
2 straw jute bags 1 large1 small
1 check book cover
1 Kente cloth
1 Hockey jersey
1 umbrella
1 business card holder

I'm sure I forgot a few other things but like I said, off the top of my head.:cool:

if you happen to go through your stuff and notice these things missing... you know who came through to swipe them :cool: :cool:

do you purposely go looking for poodles, or do you just find them? if so, where?

Poodles? What kind? Jeweled? Stuffed? Wooden?The only time I see jeweled poodles are on Sah-raws...:D but I work p-t at a para shop. If you need something, I can ask my soror boss lady to find something for you. As far as stuffed, hard to find. I have 2 but they are small, one can fit in my hand. I bought them from another soror as a fundraiser about a year ago. I've seen wooden tiki poodles online and we have them in our store. I usually dont go looking for poodles but if I do come across one, I wll snag it.

I have a jacket, a t-shirt and a tote bag. I also have a poodle and two trinket boxes, one of which was made for me. They had this really cute bag at Mid-Winter and a Soror I came in with purchased it. I am hoping the same vendor is at Regionals. I have also seen some t-shirts I would love to get. I am also thinking about getting a real poodle. I had one when I was younger and I have been wanting to get a dog for awhile, so why not a poodle!!!:D

Yall make me feel embarassed with all of your stuff! But then I can't feel too bad because I am not a shopper. I don't own a whole lot of clothes either! :o

But I do have a tote bag, brief case, and a lunch box. :) :) I also have the license plate frames (2 and one says EEE-YIIP! that I have yet to put on). The main thing I do have is a Maryland State license plate #0145!!!!

The 2 things I wished I had are a black or tan jacket and more t-shirts. (Yeah Soror TLD, I agree me and Soror PHDiva, we have to meet ;) )
