I have a quick question, are there any sorors out there who chats on greek chat in the Delta Sigma Theta room? If so please post the times, because I would love to get to know you through the chat room.

Sorors, I didn't even know that there was a chat room. Oh well, if anyone ever decides to go there and chat please post. I would love to talk with some of my sorors also.

How about late morning/early afternoon? I figured this would be a good time since most people have a break in their schedule around then. Any other suggestions for days or times?

I think that would be a great idea. Of course we are in different time zones. I'm in the central time zone and I have a job so I can't really chat during the day. For those that work, what about 7pm central time starting monday the 8th! But first, i know how to get in the chat room, but is there a start up process?

Anyway, if I can remember what I was going to say:

If you choose to use the chat room, please be mindful of what you say and to whom.

REAL SORORS OF DELTA SIGMA THETA: please be wary of "your new sorors" who can pop out of the woodwork and enter the page. Internet perps are spreading like wildfire. Just be careful, especially if you do not know this "soror".

DST CHAT You can also find quick tips for chatting on the page.

*NOTE: The names aren't reserved like the names here in GC, so just because you see a familiar screen name, DON'T JUST ASSUME it is the person that you think it is.

I'm looking forward to talking with my Sorors but I'm wondering if we could move the time a little later on Monday. I would like to suggest 9 p.m. EST which would be 8 p.m. on CST.

Chatting Tips:

In order to initiate a private chat session with another user, all you need to do is double-click on their name. This chat is only viewable by you & the other person in the private chat with you. Private chat
currently only works between 2 individuals.

The ignore feature will enable you to basically silence specific people (perps or mess makers http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif)in the chat who you do not want to receive chat messages from (in the public chat area). To use this feature all you need to do is click once on the user's name, then select Ignore from the people menu.

If you don't see anyone in the room, just wait a few minutes. (if you have time) Some people won't enter the room, if they don't think anyone else is going to come or is already in there.

Girl I know what you mean! I can't wait to talk with sorors and sisterfriends tonight either.

Greetings All!

John, our site administrator, is making changes to the chat system on GC. As some of you may know, the chat room was used primarily by Greek nationals. Within the next week or so, John will change the set up so that only registered users of this site will be able to chat. Current moderators will also have moderator rights in the chat room (i.e. the ability to kick people out of the room). There will NOT be any chat-only moderators.

I tried chatting in the DST room before and there was only one other person in there (who knows if it was REALLY a Delta). Now that sorors are amped about chatting on GC, I may revisit the chat :) Then again, I have met a truck load of chat room perps on BP...I pray we won't have that big of a problem on here :mad:

I went in to chat last night before I went to bed and no one was there :(, LOL.

I think it will be cool to chat with some of you when you can.
