Video Games anyone?

Anyone else consider themselves a gamer?

I currently own a PS3, Wii, PS2, and a original DS is hiding somewhere in my possession.

I just got Super Mario Galaxy 2 yesterday and looking forward to popping it open when I get home. I'll be getting Modnation Racers tomorrow.

Currently tying up some extras stuff on Final Fantasy XIII with some Super Street Fighter IV thrown in there.

If you haven't played it I suggest you to check out Super Mario Bros Wii(Wii duh) and Little Big Planet(PS3). Great games!

Modnation Racers is like a Little Big Planet meets Mario Kart type of thing.

What are people playing?

I'm just playing Wii right now -- I downloaded a bunch of virtual console games. My Classic Controller just came in last week and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has been whippin my ass for old time's sake.

I had a Wii Warming instead of a house warming :)

Question: I bought two GameCube games at a yard sale (unopened) and while the games come on in the Wii, it seems like it is not recognizing the controller. Is there a controller other than Classic that I should be using for GameCube games?

I would not consider myself a gamer @ all, but I really like Super Mario Bros Wii! I only bought a Wii so I could play We Cheer, Silent Hill, and the old games like Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World.

I just bought Mario Galaxy 2 yesterday and I'm on world 3 (but I haven't gotten all the stars along the way). I loved the first one, and this one is like a big continuation of #1.

Oh Legend of Zelda, how I love you.

Not sure why it's not recognizing the controllers, done a Google on it? Gamers seem to find every bug/glitch/workaround to most of those issues.

I own a Wii myself, although I haven't played much, I'm big into World of Warcraft and other MMORPGs though. If I had steady income I'd try the new Star Trek: Online among others. Well, if I had a steady income and my thesis was complete!

The GameCube controllers should work with your Wii, because there is a place for you to plug them in. Maybe try restarting your Wii with the GameCube controller already plugged in and see if that works? I'm not entirely sure, but maybe (this idea just came to me) you can't use the controllers until you're in the game itself. I shall try at work (I work in a new video game arcade-type thing).

I just brought HeartGold and SoulSilver from home, and I need boyfriend to start up his so that I can cheat and get all three starter-type pokemon mwahaha.
Also I can't wait for NEW NEW NEW pokemon hopefully next year. The teasers are KILLING MEEEE. Bf just got Red Dead Redemption and he's loving it so far, but is STILL obsessed with Borderlands. He's pretty much been playing non-stop for over a week now, because of the new expansion pack.

Woot a fellow WoW player! I've been playing since shortly after realese. Blizzard pretty much owns my soul somehow. For the Horde...and maybe Alliance once Cataclysm hits for a Worgen.

NASCAR, and Forza Motorsport 2 and 3. I was playing Need for Speed Shift, and Grid. I don't play NFS or Grid as much anymore, because there are no pitstops, which makes the gameplay unrealistic. That's the only way I'm playing a driving sim, if it's realistic. It sucks if I happen to crash just enough to mess up the steering, but yet there are no pits for repair. What's the point of playing, then?

NASCAR and Forza have it all, though. I still wish Forza showed the pit crew during pitstops, like NASCAR does.

I have a Wii. I don't play anything hardcore:

- Super Smash Brothers Brawl (classic)
- Super Paper Mario (this game is really good!)
- A Boy and his Blob (...and this one too!)

I have also been playing DDR since high school so I have DDR for Wii as well :)
