I LOVED this episode. I did NOT see that coming!! What did those kids crash into, though? I missed that part.

I was like yay 100th episode! But if I wanted to see a bunch of kids die in a car crash I would just turn on the news. It was much too depressing for me. Especially after we heard their little stories and such. Really made me not like the episode at all. And I really didn't think it was very impressive with everything else that went on but maybe some of it was setting up for next week?

nikki1920 05-07-2009 11:17 PM

I think it was. This is what I call a transition episode.

GammaDelt 05-07-2009 11:20 PM

I thought it was so powerful. Do you think Izzie is going to die in the finale?

Smile_Awhile 05-07-2009 11:25 PM

I'm not sure if Izzie will die in the finale- I think she'll probably die around sweeps next season. But I did see Bailey crying in the preview- if it makes Bailey cry, it's intense. So I'm really excited.

I LOVED Alex's vows. I know he stole them, but man. Really, I've never been an Alex fan- until this development with his character. It makes me want a man just like that. He is such a good man. And I love seeing him.

GammaDelt 05-07-2009 11:50 PM

I am noticing a trend where the doctors end up quoting their patients. Can be really effective, but in the fourth season there's a stretch where it's after like, at the end of EVERY single episode.

christiangirl 05-08-2009 01:04 AM

I haven't cried during a single episode this season until now. I haven't cried at a Grey's ep since bomb guy died. This sucks, I hate episodes that touch on parts of my own life. (I'm a sucker for weddings and college students right now.)

Jimmy Choo 05-08-2009 01:05 AM

I had to work hard not to cry tonight.

GammaDelt 05-08-2009 01:48 AM

I definitely got hysterical tonight, though not as hysterical as I got at the little girl/Mexico episode.

AGDee 05-08-2009 06:22 AM

I bawled like a baby. I thought the writing was excellent.

RaggedyAnn 05-08-2009 06:31 AM

I had a volunteer call that started at 9 PM and ended at 9:53. I turned the TV on to see the end of the ceremony. I am so glad I have Digital and it's one of the shows I can watch on demand.

texas*princess 05-08-2009 12:13 PM

I thought it was sweet. I didn't cry though.

I was hoping they'd do a double wedding.

srmom 05-08-2009 01:46 PM

I boo hoo ed last night over the college grads' wreck and deaths. Having a kid that age, it just hit me how fragile life is, and that you wake up one day thinking you've got everything planned just right, and bam it all can end, or change.

So sad.

I did think the wedding was lovely and the acting was great. But, when is Meredith going to get married!!!

AGDee 05-08-2009 03:54 PM

For me, it was enough that Meredith wasn't freaking about getting married. They'll have their day, but after Izzy went on about wanting to have her day, I thought it was awesome that Derek did that for her and Alex. Very touching, really. Mer/Der should have a very long "rest of their lives" to live. Alex and Izzy may not have very long at all.

I cried with each death of each young person. I cried when Izzy said her thing about the man that she loved and when Alex said his vows. I cried, a lot.

Me too.....

I'm calling it now - the season finale will end with Izzy flat lining....

Any spoilers as to wether or not Katherine Heigle is coming back next season?

I agree with you and I don't think they've decided whether she's coming back or not.

I considered that, but they ended an episode with Meredith flat lining, so I doubt they'll use that again.

Smile_Awhile 05-14-2009 11:07 PM

To the finale: SERIOUSLY?

I hate, hate, hate cliffhangers.

Oh- please give Chandra Wilson and Justin Chambers their Emmys now. Kthxbye.

ta kala 05-14-2009 11:09 PM

did NOT see 007 coming!!

I didn't either. That one totally blew me away.

I called the Izzy cliff hanger earlier today. Since nobody seems to know if she's returning next season, this was the only way they could really do it. If she isn't coming back, she dies, if she is, she won't. I'm sure we'll hear it in spoilers before the season actually starts. Everything I've heard was that George won't be back... but him going to the Army made more sense to me than him dying, truth be told. How can the characters handle two of their own dying on the same day? I guess we'll see what happens eventually.

PM_Mama00 05-14-2009 11:41 PM

I'm not a faithful Greys watcher, just when I'm actually home at that time. Can someone PM me the meaning of 007?

nikki1920 05-14-2009 11:52 PM

George seems to come through in crisis situations, that's why he was nicknamed 007.

DAYUM. I cried for the last two minutes.
DAYUM @ Bailey and Chief.
Alex!!!
And Sloan being a girl, lol!!!

Also, on his first day, he was able to scrub in on an appendectomy. He was finishing it up, when he screwed up and Burke had to step in. He nearly killed the patient- the residents started calling him 007 meaning "License to Kill"

csarmo6629 05-15-2009 12:56 AM

I'm pretty sure they decided she's definitely not coming back... which means... the flat line we saw tonight will probably be staying that way. I love Izzie, I wish she was coming back

Me either! That totally threw me for a loop!

Jimmy Choo 05-15-2009 01:28 AM

Just....wow!

GammaDelt 05-15-2009 01:42 AM

Do you think George is dead?

AGDee 05-15-2009 06:56 AM

I'm not sure the actors or writers know for sure if both are leaving the show or not. We'll be able to figure it out when spoilers tell us who has renewed contracts.

RaggedyAnn 05-15-2009 08:19 AM

Andy knew it was George right away...don't know how. I don't know, after the last few episodes, this one was good, but definitely not OMG to me. I didn't cry. I do like the elevator scene though. Maybe there have just been too many spoilers out there?

ZTAngel 05-15-2009 09:28 AM

I knew it was George as soon as the chief said that he let him go home early.

I'm surprised that they'll kill off two main characters. They could just have George go to Iraq which would give im an opening to come back to the show sometime in the future.

THANK YOU! I'ma be pissed if they don't get an Emmy!
I guess I gotta watch all the previous seasons on DVD to get my fix until September. (I have all of them)

BetteDavisEyes 05-15-2009 10:20 AM

I'd like it if they kept both on the show b/c their storylines can get compelling after this. If they had to keep one and get rid of the other, I'd prefer they kill of Izzie. Her character irritates me anyway.

Agreed. There's been too much focus on Izzie in a lot of storylines. Let everyone else have a shot. I'd love to see George come back though- he could be really compelling.

Personally, I didn't think it was that good, until Bailey started crying. That started the ball rolling, for me.

nikki1920 05-15-2009 11:17 AM

Between Bailey and Alex, I was no more good. :( I was so happy when she remembered!

PM_Mama00 05-15-2009 01:43 PM

I think the looks they gave each other in the elevator scene are foreshadowing. My theory is they were going and the look on Izzie's face was that one of them was going back "away from the light". I hope it's George who survives and then a storyline with him and the girl he saved begins.

LeslieAGD 05-15-2009 02:47 PM

I was totally shocked by it being George. I definitely did not see it. I think George will die and Izzy will live...just because everyone expects it to be the other way around.

BetteDavisEyes 05-15-2009 03:54 PM

I love Love LOVE Bailey.

Who is Santa Claus?

Some old white man who enters people's houses inappropriately.

LOL! I kept rewinding that part to see it & laugh. She's just awesome!

DolphinChicaDDD 05-19-2009 12:28 PM

Now that I finally had the chance to watch the episodes....

As soon as they rolled the face over of "John Doe" I knew it was George. And I blurted it out. Now The Boy doesn't want to watch more shows/movies with me.

Also, I thought it was odd that George was in uniform and Izzy was in the prom dress. I wasn't quite sure of the angle of that. Was it because that was the happiest day of her life? I think George's was more forshadowing. He had lots of decorations on this uniform. I think that represents the future. But Izzy...the past?
