Also there is a link that their lawyer sent to the tabloid about doing a retraction.

One mo' gin. Starruh, you are a public figure. Why are you trying to do a libel suit? Admit BGA is BGA and get on with your life.

Steeltrap 09-27-2006 01:45 PM

Regarding Rev. Run, if this is true, MTV better NOT run any footage (I've read rumors that they may have delivery room scenes). That would be so tacky and horrible. :(

That would make sense. But all the frenzy just increases the attention/suspicion.

I had one ultrasound.

But I feel for that family. How sad.

Patty Jackson's 411 for the week of September 25th, 2006

Bobby Brown is finding life hard to live without Whitney Houston. His wife of 14 years has filed for divorce, and now he has nowhere to go. Bobby needs money, a car (he reportedly tried to get a TV Network to give him a new car, they turned him down), and he needs a home. Bobby is saddened by the breakup, and he realizes that he has to get his life together. Bobby recently spent time in Las Vegas with Boxer Mike Tyson. Tyson was overheard encouraging Bobby to keep his head up and look for work. Bobby needs money, and he is going to look to his wife to get it. Whitney does not have the money she used to have. Her earnings have dried up with lavish spending on cars, homes, drugs and Bobby’s family. Whitney may have to file for bankruptcy to protect her assets in a divorce. Bobby could ask for a percentage of her past and future earnings.

Jenny Craig calling Tyra Banks! The CW network is coming down hard on its biggest star. The supermodel has been ordered to lose weight. Since Tyra stopped modeling and started her talk show, she has gained about 50 pounds. According to published reports, the network feels she is putting on too much, and she doesn’t have a great personality to go with the weight gain. If Tyra doesn’t comply, she could lose her show America’s Next Top Model. Tyra is top heavy. When you are top heavy, it tends to make you look heavier. Plus, TV puts 10 pounds on you. I think Tyra looks fine. Sometimes her wigs look crazy, but she looks healthy. Will she lose weight?

Eddie Murphy says he’s in love, but hold up on those wedding plans. For the past four months, Eddie has been dating Singer Mel B of the Spice Girls. She has a 7-year old daughter. He recently divorced his wife Nicole, and they have five kids. He also has a child from a previous relationship. Eddie dated quite a few ladies since his divorce from Nicole (Robin Givens and Shaun Robinson of Access Hollywood), but it was Mel B who won his heart. A few of Eddie’s friends were worried about him moving so fast. When Eddie would mention marriage, they would urge him to slow it down. Last week, stories came out involving Mel B and a London lap dancer. The dancer claims she and Mel B had a steamy encounter after she gave her a lap dance. Did this revelation cause Eddie to back down on the wedding talk? Does Mel B still have a chance of being Mrs. Murphy?

Remember “Miss Cleo,” the TV psychic with the thick Jamaican accent? In the late 90’s, she was the Queen of the infomercials with her psychic claims. Then she was exposed. She wasn’t a super psychic. She was a super fake, an actress from Los Angeles. Well “Miss Cleo” has a new revelation..... she’s gay. In an interview with the Advocate magazine, she revealed she is a lesbian. “Miss Cleo” says she kept it secret for years because she was afraid of how her family would react.

This past week, Debbie Rowe got a major court victory. The ex-Mrs. Michael Jackson took on her powerful ex-husband and won. She is going to get her money, and she is going to get to visit her kids. Years ago, Rowe signed away her rights to her children, Prince and Paris, for millions of dollars. Michael got tired of shelling out money to Rowe. When she went on TV to talk about their life, he cut her money off. Debbie struck back. She had heard enough stories involving her ex and young boys. She realized she made a huge mistake giving her children away, and now she wanted them back. Rowe and Jackson have been battling for years over these children, and now she will have a chance to be a mother to her kids. Paris and Prince have no idea who Debbie Rowe is. They have only met with her a few times. Rowe won the court battle when a judge ruled that she was the only biological parent. Michael is just the custodial parent. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm! I guess this confirms that Rowe’s children were inseminated by someone else, a Caucasian male perhaps.

Star Jones is going after the tabloids: leave her and her husband alone! Did Al leave Star? Star says no, despite the fact that he hasn’t spent any time with her and hangs out with his male friends. Star says she is emotional and stressed out, and she wants the stories to stop. According to her spokesperson, she is planning to sue the tabloid over false stories. The tabloids also speculated on how the Reynolds are making ends meet since he quit his job and she was let go from hers.

David Hasselhoff needs help? “The Hoff” is best known for his roles in Baywatch, Knight Rider and as “Snapper” on the soap opera The Young and The Restless. Hasselhoff is currently a judge on the reality show America’s Got Talent. This past year, he made headlines with his nasty divorce, numerous Botox treatments, a drunken episode at a London Airport where he peed on himself (he says he was sick from overmedicating), a mysterious arm injury and a false police report involving his teenage daughter. He told the police she tried to commit suicide by cutting herself. She was actually cut by the family pet, a cat. She went to the hospital, got treated and came home. Why would Hasselhoff lie to the police? Everyone in his close circle, including his ex-wife, admits he needs help, and they hope he gets it soon.

The weight issue involving Janet Jackson continues. What made her gain and lose close to 70 pounds? The producers of the movie Tennessee want Janet to stop telling people she gained weight for their movie. They claim the part did not call for the actress/singer to gain weight. The role is now going to Mariah Carey. The producers want Janet to reveal she gained weight due to stress (the wardrobe malfunction, poor sales of her last CD Damita Jo, family crisis with brother Michael’s trial, being the breadwinner for the entire Jackson family and stories of a hidden child). They say just stop blaming them!

Our condolences go out to Reverend Run and his wife Justine. They are best known for the popular MTV series, Reverend Run’s House. On last season’s cliffhanger, Justine announced she was pregnant with their fifth child. Unfortunately, the baby died. The child was born with the organs outside of the body, and died a short time later. MTV was filming at the hospital. There is no word yet on how this is going to be handled on the show.

Singer Alicia Keys has signed on for the animated Backyardigans TV show. Alicia will voice the alien character and her niece, Shakyra, will also be featured.

Mariah Carey has a new career venture. She is going to be the spokesperson for a new self tanning lotion. This is the self tanning lotion that she uses while she is on tour.

LaToya Jackson is the new spokesperson for Star Ice, a malt liquor from Australia.

Samuel L. Jackson recently signed a production deal with New Line Cinema.

WHAT’S THE UNDERGROUND BUZZ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This celebrity signed on to appear on a reality TV show. He did it as a joke. Now he has proven to be so popular, he can’t get voted off. He is tired of doing the show, and it is wearing him out.

This famous Producer has declared he will not work with a famous Pop Singer again. He helped her with her latest CD, and played a big part in her comeback. Everyone thought she was looney, but he stuck with her because he knew she had a great voice. The Producer figured the Pop Singer would help him out since he helped her reclaim her career. The Producer asked the Pop Singer to record a song with his girlfriend. His girlfriend is famous. She can dance, but she can’t sing. The Pop Singer refused to do it. She knew she could never record a song with a non singer.

1. Alicia on the Backyardigans! awwww that show it too cute! I used to watch it with my baby cousin.

2. I just want Janet to put on her clothes and have some damn dignity. Please.

3. underground buzz- I think the first one is someone on so you think you can dance, and the second one is Jermaine Dupri

Munchkin03 09-27-2006 07:18 PM

:( thinking about the entire Simmons family. I love watching that show because of how close they are.

It is heartbreaking that this was overlooked, especially since Justine is 41 and any first pregnancy over 41 is monitored like crazy. :( :( :(

BlessedOne04 09-27-2006 07:23 PM

I thought of Jerry Springer when I heard the man who is tired of the reality show. For sure got Janet, Jermaine and Marah Carey. Marah maybe able to sing but she sure can't dance or perform live IMO.

I got three (and I thought that was standard), and I would have thought Run would have top OBs that would insist on three, and top insurance that would pay for 3.

Do they (The Simmons) have health insurance? It's something to think about, even with all the millions they have. I hope they do have coverage, but you never know. :(

I would expect BET to show something like this. I think MTV has more taste than that. When they had the special on Brandy, there weren't even in the acutally delivery room.

UB #1: Maybe Emmett or Mario Lopez?

UB #2: If Mimi doesn't want to work with Janet, that's her business. But JD shouldn't let that ruin their relationship. Besides, LA Reid had a lot to do with Mimi's comeback, which Janet doesn't have right now.

SoCalGirl 09-27-2006 08:40 PM

If Mtv addresses it at all I'm going to trust that they'll handle it in the most sensitive way that they can.

UB#1: I think it's too obvious to go with Dancing With the Stars. Since it said the celebrity could not be voted off I'd guess a celebrity judge. Like maybe "The Hoff". :p

UB#2: I wouldn't consider Janet "a non singer". Has Beyonce' refused to work with anyone that JayZ helped out?

Neosoulchild 09-27-2006 08:53 PM

I think the first one is Jerry Springer on Dancing With the Stars. Last week he even shook his head no when the hostess said to call and vote for him.

Hasn't the 2nd one already been discussed?

I again with them. Janet has gain large amounts of weight before and it is usually during her time off. I don't know why she feels a need to lie about it. I would however love to know how she losses massive amounts of weight in such short periods of time. It's amazing how she does it.

I would. Especially compared to Mariah and seeing her on Oprah on Monday. I've never been a big Janet fan. I do like the Control album and some of her songs. But this new album, thumbs down!!

You would think so but after the BET acquisition several years ago that made Bob Johnson a millionaire, MTV and BET are now owned by the same company. Ya never know...

I know we all already know what happened but this contains a statement from Rev Run:

Rev. Run's daughter dies at birth

Associated Press

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. - A daughter born to rap pioneer Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons and his wife, Justine, died shortly after delivery last week, an MTV spokesman said Wednesday.

Simmons issued a statement through the network, which airs his reality show, "Run's House," saying his wife "is doing fine." He thanked his supporters for their prayers and condolences.

"On Sept. 26, 2006, Victoria Anne Simmons for some unknown reason chose to come early and unfortunately did not survive," his statement said. "We must accept whatever is there and once you accept unconditionally, then everything is beautiful. Every pain has a purifying effect. So whatever comes your way, just be thankful. We see life in death and believe in the celebration of life in death."

The baby was delivered at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, according to MTV spokesman Graham James.

Simmons, brother of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, has five children. He was a founding member of pioneering rap group Run-DMC.

In my classes I've learned that a lot of rich people don't have health insurance because they don't need it. They can afford to pay the doctor's bills on their own. It makes sense when you think about it.

I wonder if they will air any episodes for the next season. I'm sure the whole premise was the baby coming, you know?:( I don't know if they (the family) would want to have to go through all that again. I know I wouldn't:( I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled it.

I just heard the 911 call for T.O. His publicist said there was an empty bottle nearby and she sounded frantic. I just don't know. I really hope he didn't try to do that but wouldn't be surpised if really was depressed on the inside, forget about all the theatrics he likes to perform.

I'm confused about the Michael Jackson thing. If he isn't a biological parent then are the kids technically adopted? How do you sign away the rights to your children. What's the difference between that and adoption?

Anna Nicole Smith, lawyer exchange vows

Anna Nicole Smith, lawyer exchange vows

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) — Reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith exchanged vows with boyfriend Howard K. Stern on a boat near Nassau, but there was no formal marriage and the ceremony is "not legally binding," her attorney Michael Scott said Friday.

Scott said the exchange of vows happened aboard a catamaran Thursday — 18 days after Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel, died as he was visiting her in a Nassau hospital, where she had given birth to a baby girl.

Stern says he is the father of the baby. The couple "exchanged vows before God" but did not obtain a marriage license, Scott told The Associated Press.

Rest of story

I'm sorry, but nothing like this would begin to cross my mind if I were mourning the loss of my firstborn.

I used to think that Howard K Stern had the most sense out of the bunch. Maybe he was just as quirkie as Anna Nicole. Maybe they all were on that methadone.

Was the link posted that said that AN's son died from an overdose: Methadone, Zerloft and some other drug. :(

Then, there is another guy saying HE is ANs baby daddy! This is some mess for Jerry Springer.

lovelyivy84 09-29-2006 03:56 PM

I read somewhere she's afraid of the real baby daddy trying to take away the kid, so the lawyer is pretending to be baby daddy now. Given the death of her first son, I could understand that. Not applaud it or condone it, but it makes SOME sense.

WenD08 09-29-2006 05:19 PM

according to my local news, the Smith/Stern nuptials may not be legal according to their sources.
all this mess just makes me:rolleyes: i feel for that new baby to be born into this family...:(

Right, and the fact that she really, REALLY wanted a girl. To know that on top of the fact that she lost the baby. I'm really glad that she has a good support system in Run to help her through this.

In his video you can tell that he lost weight, but he still has a ways to go.
