Georgia is the SEC East champ. Now it will be interesting to see who wins the SEC West. My guess it will be another UGA/LSU match up in the SEC Championship game.

On a funny side note Vandy beat Tenn at Tenn. First time they beat them in 22 years.

carnation 11-19-2005 05:15 PM

First quarter and Auburn is beating Bama. :)

The1calledTKE 11-19-2005 05:56 PM

The best thing about Alabama are these girls...

I would cheer for Ga. in this situation but I will go  because that cost USC a trip to Atlanta.

Oh, well...it was wishful thinking if Ky. had won.

blueGBI 11-19-2005 09:00 PM

Who's the Big Ten champs?

Michigan?

Ohio State?

No, Its Penn State!

10-1 and the Roar is restored!

WE ARE PENN STATE!!

AGDee 11-19-2005 09:15 PM

Well, if it can't be Michigan or Michigan State, Penn State is my next choice. ANYBODY but Ohio State...

Sad day in Michigan :(

PinkRose1098 11-19-2005 09:23 PM

War Eagle! I love it when Auburn beats Alabama.

The1calledTKE 11-20-2005 12:12 AM

Holy cow Georgia Tech upset Miami.

Looks like the GT/ UGA game will be an interesting one next week.

blueGBI 11-20-2005 12:36 AM

#3 BCS

If only :01...

jitterbug13 11-20-2005 01:25 AM

Carolina was doing fine until I started watching the game in the last quarter...I'm begining to think that I'm their bad omen. :( I didn't watch any of the games when they were on the winning streak.

(((CarolinaDG)))

At least we'll probably be going to a decent bowl game. Please let it be the Peach Bowl!

BobbyTheDon 11-20-2005 04:12 AM

instead of watching a good game (SC v Clemson) I watched my favorite SEC team get pounded by my most hated SEC team.

In other news...Reggie Bush racked up over 500 all purpose yards

OVER 500

And the man doesn't touch the ball all the time like Vince Young.

Great game. Fresno St needs to be in the pac 10.

I forced Jitterbug to watch the rest of that game ;)

jitterbug13 11-20-2005 04:15 AM

^^^^^
At least I didn't give that USC bad luck!:p

Yeah, when they were up first quarter, I was like, Maybe, maybe, then the next time I checked the score it was 21 to 3. GRRRR....

Plus, Boo Clemson. How is it that even when we have a better team, we still lose?!!?

jitterbug13 11-20-2005 12:35 PM

^^^^
I'll tell ya...it's one of these things or both:

1)I did not start watching the game until the fourth quarter.
2) That d*nm Chicken Curse!:p

What bowl you think they are going to?

The1calledTKE 11-20-2005 01:12 PM

Did you South Carolina fans think Kentucky might actually beat Georgia?

In the end it wouldn't have mattered since Clemson won.

We knew that Kentucky couldn't be Georgia...but we can only wish!

And it doesn't matter if Clemson won or not, Florida was our last SEC game. But we did do something that Georgia didn't...beat Florida.:D

Oops thats true don't know what I was thinking.

CarolinaDG 11-20-2005 08:54 PM

GRR... Clemson took our spot in the rankings. I'm sorry, I know they won, but I still think we had the better team this year. At least they're only 25.

jitterbug13 11-20-2005 09:38 PM

Clemson only went to #25...but really, with all of those close games they should have been undefeated and looking at a BCS bowl.

FHwku 11-21-2005 11:15 AM

Tennessee hasn't lost to Kentucky since 1984. last year, UK gave a better UT team a close game. on the 26th, both teams will find themselves at the bottom of our division, with UT coming off a loss to Vandy. UK beat Vandy two weeks ago. in the bowl scheme, this game is of no consequence. if you live in Kentucky, it's a reason to stock up on bourbon and beer.

Yes, Reggie's performance this weekend was out of control. He could wind up with the Heisman and as the #1 pick in the draft (if he comes out early).

So get this Bobby, SDSU is in the Pac-10 this year for soccer...it's the admin's vain attempt to get us inot the Pac-10.

Why should we be in the Pac-10 if we can't even win the MWC?

Seriously, when New Mexico, UNLV and Wyoming aren't afraid of you, it's time to find a new coach....

FIRE CRAFT!

amycat412 11-21-2005 02:30 PM

I wish the Pac 10 would become the Pac 12. Fresno State is an easy pick to join, but then who?

SDSU is usually the first school that comes to mind when we talk about it, but like you said Stan, they pretty much suck. So who then? UNLV? Their football program is and always has been laughable.

The Runnin Rebels beat us this year.....

We've been the doormat of the MAC.

With Frank Solich as our new coach, it will be interesting to see if our football fortunes change as his recruiting classes begin to play.

I hope he has a chance to build the program -- and that a bigger school doesn't steal him before he gets a foundation in place.

At least Solich has proven to be a winner at some level, and he at least knows how to get the student body into games. Craft has no idea what he's doing, compounded with the fact that none of the students care that our football team sucks...

He was a winner on a big stage and still has a lot of support in Nebraska. In fact, a number of Ohio U. season tickets were sold up there and there are "Cornhuskers for Ohio" type of groups who feel he really got a bad deal in Lincoln.

I've posted this before, but it used to be said that any student who watched an entire football game in the stands would get a full scholarship -- and none was ever given.

The student body used to come for the band show at pre-game and halftime and then leave -- sometimes coming back for the band's post game show.

The band is great, and a huge tradition, but it's a pretty sad commentary on the football team.

Well, Ohio U's gotten a lot more exposure this year, and it certainly looks better with that small stadium than walking into a 70,000 stadium like Qualcomm and only seeing 20,000 people there...most of them not knowing how to be a real football audience (make noise during defense, not offense, react to when the team does poorly) and sitting there twidling their thumbs.

I work with an Alumnua from Ohio U, she said she never went to any of the games lol.

See? I rest my case.

BTW, the Bobcats play the Miami Redhawks (arch rival) tonight on ESPNU.

I suspect it's a regional and don't know where all it will "air."

Regarding pac 10 and expansion

The Pac 10 isn't looking to expand in football anytime soon.

This is a thread I started in a USC forum.

Pac 10? Why not Pac 12?

Notice that I had to bump my own thread.

Apparently the Pac 10 tried to steal Texas and Colorado a few years back. Didn't work .There have also been talks about UTAh and BYU coming over. God that would have been something huh? Liberal hippies of the pac 10 (except Stanford and USC) vs the Mormons.

I am almost embarrased to show this link because there are some stupid ass USC fans out there. But basically this board is filled with USC bandwagoners, USC alums, pessimstic USC fans who remember the 90s (me :) ) and a bunch of SEC fans who troll the board and talk shit making it a Pac 10 vs SEC war. (the SEC fans always get schooled and like this board, it always comes down to a North vs South thing (but we are the West)except how are you going to say that Alabama is better than California?)

Oh and some people from Texas come by pretty often to mention how they are #2

I remember that. As I recall, it was about the same time the Big 12 expanded, which probably didn't help the deal any.

AznSAE 11-25-2005 05:24 PM

i knew texas was going to win even though they played pretty crappy. texas a&m couldnt do anything with the ball except leaving it in the hands of their young quarterback. good game.

tinydancer 11-25-2005 07:32 PM

TEXAS 40
Texas A&M 29

That was one ugly game.

Betarulz! 11-25-2005 08:55 PM

One not ugly game (at least not for me)

Nebraska 30
sCUm 3

Nebraska was a 15 point underdog and ruined CU's chance at the Big XII North...awesome.

Also, in continuing displays of class, the referees had to clear out an entire section of fans because they were throwing things on to the field and wouldn't stop. Just another step in the long line of CU misdeeds...from throwing snowballs with ice cubes in the middle thrown at players on the field (not to mention the snow covered billiard balls) to the bottles of urine that are thrown at Nebraska fans...you just can't find a more classy group of people...

docetboy 11-25-2005 10:10 PM

Beta, it was actually two sections. sCUm sucks, and they proved it on national tv!

GO BIG RED!!!

MICHIGAN v NEBRASKA in SAN ANTONIO!!!!

Woot!!!
