Uh....ok....is this considered "swinging"?

Will Smith And Jada Pinkett's Relationship

http://www.allthehitsq100.com/bertsh...ithpinkett.jpg

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have been married for eight years, as of New Year's Eve. Will has the go-ahead from Jada to go outside the marriage, and apparently, Jada enjoys the same courtesy. There is ONE condition: There can be no side-action by either party without prior permission. In an interview with the "New York Post", Will said, "Our perspective is, you don't avoid what's natural. You're going to be attracted to people. In our marriage vows, we didn't say, 'forsaking all others'. The vow that we made was that you will never hear that I did something after the fact. If it came down to it, then one spouse can say to the other, 'Look, I need to have sex with somebody. I'm not going to if you don't approve of it. . . but please approve of it." Will and Jada work harder than most couples to stay together. Will says, "I spend hours reading, studying. And my wife and I talk about things that work. . . and don't work. I don't let a day go past that Jada doesn't feel like the queen of the world. I make sure every single day that she knows how I feel about her." After Will showed his manly physique in a shower scene in "I, Robot", Jada was motivated to start hitting the gym herself. She said, "Nope, you're not catching me out there, slipping out of shape. All them thunderkittens got to see my man in that movie. I gotta go get in shape."

I always hear about how open and free their relationship is, but dang! I don't know if the "insiders" know about their "arrangements," but I haven't seen any headlines about "I GOT THE GOODS FROM THE FRESH PRINCE!" Maybe no one has stepped out or maybe since Jada/Will won't be hot about it, there is no sense in bringing it out.

If they are "swingers," that disappoints me. :( But if it works for them....

lol @ thunderkittens.. lol

But this is an old quote that was taken out of context, I think. Each of them has gimmes, and Will is taken with Beyonce, Salma Hayek and someone else.. One year for his b'day, Jada gave him a cake w/ likenesses of each on it and "Now you can have a piece!" written on it. I doubt they are swingers in that sense..

but you never know.. :( I truly hope not.

Star looks very pretty. I like the whole look. Al looks much more handsome with his hair short and the facial hair. Good looks for them both.

I'd heard long ago that Will and Jada had an open marriage. Well, what I'd heard was that their marriage was a front and that both of them dated people of the same sex. Those were just rumors though. *shrugs shoulders*

I'm confused as to how you make someone feel like the queen of the world by sleeping with another woman

I heard that a while ago also. Well, not the cake part, but I did hear about how instead of secretly pining over someone, they would let the other know. Like, "Hey, baby, I have a crush on Idris Alba." (OK, I'm really the one with the crush on Idris, but you get my drift! :D) That way, there are no undercover obsessions.

Hopefully, they aren't swinging with people of the same sex or otherwise. They are supposed to be an example of the new power Black couple.

I actually think that's it totally. I think they experiment with same sex and otherwise. It works for a lot of couples that don't have the freedom and sex appeal that they, as a couple, have. I say if it works for them, then it works.

I think it's not really swinging because what I don't hear is that they actually participate together with these other people or that there are other couples involved. Swinging is a form of recreational social sex between consenting adults Most of the time it's a male/female couples meeting with other male/female couples for sex and other things.

I heard rumors of Wil being bisexual for years. They really started going after his role in Six degrees of separation. I sometimes wonder about their relationship because every time they are interviewed, they talk about how phenomenal their sex life is. Sometimes it's like they are over doing it.

There is a book with Tupac's writings in it. One of the things in there is a poem/rap or something and it is clear (at least to me and my roommate it was) that the poem/rap was about Jada. And in the lyrics it alludes to her being bisexual. But it is not done in a "I'ma bust out Jada" way, because at the time she was nobody. He was just talking about his "friend" that liked him but apparently liked other girls, too.

I can't remember the name of the book and I can't remember if it's The Rose that Grew from Concrete or not. I have to ask my roommate.

I heard about that. I have The Rose that Grew from Concrete and he has a poem specifically dedicated to her. I think the poem you are talking about is included in the book to accompany the movie, Tupac Ressurection.

Yeah, but he and Janet were not as tight as he was to Jada.

Naw, whatever book we read that poem in, there's something in the pages before it that led us to believe that he was talking about Jada. Again, this is me and my roommate, not celebrity gossip, lol. We could be wrong. Odder things have happened. ;)

I just took the book, The Rose that Grew from Concrete, back to the library a couple of days ago. I do remember there being a poem in there specifically entitled "4 Jada". Now about that other poem, the one thats supposedly outting her, I don't remember anything like that...but, it could be in there. I'll take a look in the book again when I go to the library tomorrow.

I have Tupac: Resurrection and the poem "4 Jada" is in it, but there are no references. The poem goes:

JADA

4 JADA

U R The Omega of my Heart
The foundation 4 my conception of love
When I think of what a Black woman should be
it's U that I first think of

U will never fully understand
How deeply my heart feels 4 U
I worry that we'll grow apart
and I'll end up losing U

U bring me 2 climax without sex
and u do it all with regal grace
U R my Heart in Human Form
a Friend I could never replace

RedefinedDiva 02-09-2005 10:14 AM

I have not read either book, but from what Ideal and Abaici have said, it's not the poem specifically written for Jada. I doubt that Jada would have authorized the release of a poem that names her and outs her at the same time, especially considering that it isn't "public" knowledge that she may be bi. Then again, who knows?

I am ready for the whole truth and nothing but the truth to come out about both Will and Jada.

It is nice. Yeah, that's the one in The Rose. However, the controversial one is not labeled. Dangit, it's in Resurrection somewhere. I will have to take a look when I go get my latte.
