I hate that girl, and I have hated her since she was on Idol....she is so fake, and her voice is not that great...

I'm totally bored tonight. It just goes to show that even the best contestants vocally will suck if the songs are not interesting.

I thought Danny was terrible but the judges slobbered over him whereas I didn't think Matt was bad at all (just that one falsetto note) but the judges threw him under the bus. I don't get this show.

Another vote for bored...but I really liked Kris last night. I have been a big Adam fan so far, but just thought his performance was bleh.

I hated the judging pairs idea - another bad idea imo. And, again, what is it with the producers that they cannot keep this show going on time? Poor Kris, his critiques were glossed over quickly while others were long and repetitive.

Please, someone, take the Bartlett's Book of Quotations away from Paula. She makes no sense whatsoever!

ETA: I'm glad they saved Matt, but 2 are leaving next week now which will be sad, we'll have to say goodbye to him eventually. And Anoop needs to check his attitude, he's a little too transparent with his irritation in getting in the bottom 3. Which is sure to get him back in the bottom 3.

Well, I am sure next week the voting will be rather high, as one will need to make extra sure their favorite does not fall through the crack...

Matt being the bottom was kind of obvious. I think the judges DID throw him under the bus a little, but Anoop, Kris, and Allison did do better... Lil and Danny were my least fav of the night, but they are still riding the wave a little, Danny of course way more than Lil, whose wave pretty much dead and hopefully sends her home next week, and Adam well, Adam is untouchable...

I wonder how they will eliminate 2 next week....like, if there will be a bottom 3, or if there will be a different format for it.

Is anyone else finding it hard to zero in on a favorite this year? For the most part, I like everyone who's left but I don't love any of them.

I am guessing they will do it like they did when they had a top 13 and had to cut two that first week.

I was so HAPPY they brought Matt back, I would probably had stopped watching if they hadn't saved him....

This is just an okay season for me, I don't know if I see any of these guys hitting it big....

Yes! I'm also sick of the judges trying to get her to be an artist. She just isn't one. She's a singer, period.

No kidding! And, I know this falls under the "you are overanalyzing things" category, but did you notice how lifeless her eyes were? She just stared at one single spot in the audience the whole time. That's not to say she looked like a robot - because she actually moved and flipped her hair, etc, but her eyes...never registered any emotion. It was weird, in addition to the fact that the singing was bad.


Let's hope that next week, since they will be eliminating two, that the judges can pull it together during critiques so everyone gets time to hear their comments. (good or bad)

I am not really agreeing with the judges this year. They keep praising Kris and I just don't get it. I didn't think he was anything special at all on Tuesday. I am really surprised Kris has a bigger fan base than Matt, considering Kris was never even featured through the audition/Hollywood rounds.

I am very glad they kept Matt last night, but I have a bad feeling he won't make it through the double elimination next week because there just aren't many people to hide behind. I'll probably stop watching when he goes home.

I really liked the song Kris sang Tuesday and am going to download it, but I'm not a huge Kris fan. I think he's been uneven this year from week to week.

I am only marginally interested in this season, and I think it is because there is no Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Chris Daughtry, etc. In other words, no blow-me-away-singing and true rags to (deserved) riches arc with this group.

Yes, Adam is a good singer, but he turns off many people (myself included) because he is just so over the top theatrical. Danny has a touching story line, but let's be honest... outside of the CCM market he won't do much. Alison was born to sing and perform... but the types of songs she should be doing vocal wise do not fit with a 16 year old girl. In other words, she could have laid low for a few years, then surfaced as a true rocker, and one who has more life experience to sing about.

Anoop- love him, but again, his market is not the pop charts, as he skews too old and needs to capitalize on ballads. Matt- I may be the minority but I am not feeling him either. He seems smug... I find it hard to relate to him, whereas I would love to go grab a beer with Noop. Lil- no comment necessary.

Kris? I actually like his voice, his personality, and I guess would like to see him win. However, he strikes me as someone who would rather just perform on open-mike night in his hometown than to carry an entire live show himself.

Give me Susan Boyle any day of the week. THAT is a story, and a person who you can't help but cheer for.

Two go home tonight... everyone seems to think lil is a goner... but that kind of thinking could lead those desperate a few lovers to vote like crazy and cause her to stay... God I hope NOT... i don't want to see her again and hope the odds follow through... The 2nd being? Well I dont know if it will be Matt or Anoop (and if Lil is saved, then both of them)... but since 2 are going it could be really wild... could this be the end of Goeky, my dreams could but never do come true... Anyway... Anoop and Lil should definitely be going home. I like Anoop, but he's not as strong as the other contestants. And Lil hasn't had a great performance in forever.

I do like Matt, and I'd like to see him stay for a little while longer, but I don't know who else I'd want to see go home before him besides Lil and Anoop. Basically.. it's getting very difficult now, and after this week, if someone has a bad performance (or even just an ok one), they're probably guaranteed to be going home.

I disagree on Allison... I find her rather polished. She seems to know what kind of artist she is and how to accomplish that. She has been consistent in being herself, and that is rare for 16 year olds on this show. Furthermore, she has a lot of experience, as she has been performing professionally for several years now.

Matt has a great voice, I just find him a bit boring. Not has boring as Danny, but boring. There is not anything that wows me with him, as to say Adam, Allison or Chris

True! I have to say that if you were to compare the top 7 with previous top 7, it is generally a good crop. Matt, Chris, Adam, Danny, and Allison undoubtably have talent enough to be satisfactory winners of the competition in comparison to previous winners. Lil and Anoop also have talent as well, with the latter occasionally being one of the better performances of the respective week... So really, to each his/her own is the best way to look at this group in regards to who goes home from now own...

with that said, LIL must go home soon, or I will feel that we live in an unjust world!!! lol... DialIdol predicts the people going home based on their busy signals, and according to them, she had one of the highest votes last night. That scares me... While they are not setting a prediction this time around because it was too close to call this week, Allison and Chris have the lowest number, with Matt and Anoop being close behind, that scares me....

I usually hate Kris, but I really liked his preformance....

I wish the judges would strat noticing that Danny is doing the same old thing every week! He is good, but boring....

Well, based on talent and not opinion, I can agree with that... Matt needs to go first, but the rest are a free for all based on opinion... ALTHOUGH I do not understand Goeky appeal or TALENT... there is something to be said for others fonding over him, and his never being in the B3... so I can know that there is probably talent there that is not appealing to me... Adam and Chris have also showed amazing talent and appeal... Allison has lacked that a little (in the appeal part) almost as much as Matt... So yes, I see Allison going soon, but hopefully Matt first...

I also like upsets, so I am hoping Adam or Goeky being eliminated by freak chance as they are deemed by most to be the final 2... and obviously by my previous text, I hope it is Goeky going... a Chis and Adam final two will finally be a final two chalked full of talent and originality...

The way you feel about Danny is the way I feel about Kris. I seriously just don't see the appeal and wish he would go home. Whereas I really like Danny, enjoy his performances, and think he's very talented. Though I think he does need to mix it up a bit. And I really like Allison too. But I can't stand Adam. Do I think he has some talent? Yes. Do I enjoy him or his performances? No. He sounds like Axel Rose to me when he screeches. Bleh.

Adam had me at Ring of Fire... his "screech" as you put is was very controlled and showed amazing range. AND its always something new. Danny doesn't have any surprise to me. I don't feel like there is much different from one performance to the next. That is why, also, I give kudos to Kris. That is my main schtick: diversity or uniqueness... Then there is Danny's song selection... I only wish I could pick his songs... 'What Hurts the Most,' 'Jesus Take the Wheel,' 'Endless Love,' 'Hero' ... its all sap and little bite. There is nothing wrong with these songs, he has just chose way too many of them for my tastes... (of course, I am not a teenage girl (and I know you are not either) but I bet that these songs really appeal to them...)
