Does anyone have info on UF and how recruitment is going?

This is what appeared on the website this afternoon for U of F. "Sorority recruitment will be suspended for Friday, Aug. 22 and resume on Saturday, Aug. 23. Changes to the start time on Saturday will be communicated to the potential new members through the Panhellenic counselors."

You had posted you would be at UF for recruitment this week, and no one has posted how it has been going from either side! What is happening in Gainesville? Hope recruitment is going great for you despite the rain. How are they going to schedule the delay?

In case I am not the only one interested in UF recruitment, ajmom3 just posted on the FSU recruitment story thread that the UF preference parties are this morning also. Bids are still scheduled for this evening (but maybe not the same time). I hope she keeps us posted....

Bid Day at S. Carolina is today at 5:00. Quota started out at 72, was increased to 77, but the Kappas got 82!!! Don't know any other details.

Wow - that is huge! How many girls signed up for recruitment? Congratulations to Kappa.

Started out with 1,015, but that's not how many came through the 1st round. Can't remember how many dropped from the beginning.

I am very interested in the UF outcome. Please post any info. Thank you.

Bid Day at Tennessee
 

Today is Bid Day at Tennessee, and it has gone well! Quota is 46, and all 13 chapters made quota. Not sure of everyone's numbers, but Delta Gamma added 55 new members and Zeta Tau Alpha added 50.

I heard UF quota was 47.

UF is doing bid day right now!!! Quota was set at 47 I think this year.

I don't know about the other chapters yet, but Sigma Kappa had quota + 8 at 55 girls!!

Why was it so low? Last year it was 55. Did Florida have a lot of girls drop out before pref? Or were the initial numbers that much lower?
