I have mixed feelings about free range meanness and moderation, but this seems to have blown up bigger than usual and I'm curious about what happened.

I posted a thread asking why it was removed. That was moved as well.

It was pointed out that several similar threads in the Recruitment forum about heli-parenting (started by other users) were either moved or closed as well, but the one that was started by one of the moderators of that forum remained.

The moderator in question has yet to step up to the plate and explain why LadyLonghorn's post was moved without explanation because as you saw in my link, the post itself wasn't bad at all. Several moderators agreed. Many have pointed out that the thread was moved because the content of discussion just hit too close to home for that moderator.

At one point THIS thread was locked, but DeltAlum unlocked it. Rashid's post about heavy-handed moderation was created as a result of the mods' actions.

I think you should be up to date by now. :)

That's pretty damn crappy of the Supermod who moved it to not man (or woman) up to in the public forums. Instead, they allowed Candy to get lampooned. Real nice.
