I'm really glad you passed this on. In my never ending quest to scout potential relationships for signs of "Greekness" the Tiffany stuff had been one of my penultimate signs of possible compatibility. As a test it had high sensitivity and decent specificity...
Now considering this is Nebraska, I'll begin expecting David Yurman pieces on any non-Creighton sorority members in approximately 2009. But I'll be ready. |
There was some chick who sat in front of me at the UT football games last year who would wear like 5-6 David Yurman bracelets with every outfit. She also had a huge engagement ring and an ugly husband... She wore stiletto heels to the game, which is pretty extreme even for here. It even was at W&L. I'm not sure she understood football either. Oh well.
I remember everyone in the sorority house had the "Return to Tiffany's" stuff my freshman year, but it was gone by my senior year. Yurman I like some things, but it's often so overdone, especially when women spangle themselves with 8 bracelets or whatever. I also think that the pieces from the current Yurman trend and the Return to Tiffany's line are ridiculously overpriced. If I'm going to pay that much money, I'd rather get some high quality gemstones in a more lasting piece. Bottom line: most of the jewelry I wear regularly belonged to my great-grandmother or is handmade. |
