I did say something others didn't...That a lot of the responsibility for breaking the barriers lies upon the majority. I might get ripped for that, but I believe it to be true. Because the fact is, when you are part of a majority, regardless of what it is related too, you don't have to worry about your rights and freedoms like those in the minority...
Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions are a really good example of the rights of the minority (political)...I suggest people take a look at those. Written by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The beauty of America is the right of the minority (and I don't mean just racial, political, etc, I mean everything) ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, we must protect those rights, or we shall not be living what it is to be an American. :D Ok, that's my political statement for the day. :p |

What better, it was pretty simple to try to understand. As was pointed out, many Members of any GLO will say I "was" a Member of XYZ. Good so far? It has been pointed out on GC that there are many times that is exactly what they say. Yet what We as GC GLO Memebers at speaking for life. I always say I am a LXA from so and so College. I then ask them, oh your not a memeber now? I think for the most part, GC has helped open the eyes of people who are not around different GLOs and as not all Colleges have them all. Learning as you say from books about different GLOs is not nearly as good as learning from those Members. Does that fit your criteria? |

Some of us have known about other types of organizations years before we even knew what GC was. So, pardon some of us if we don't respond with enthusiasm when these types of "let's learn about every organization" topics come up. Moreover, the experiences of certain groups of people are routinely ignored. It isn't until these experiences are validated by the mainstream that they are given credibility and are "worth" discussing and learning about. So, pardon some of us if we don't share the "now that we finally notice you and think you're important, let's find out about you...and you better be open to this dialogue NOW...because we say so" enthusiasm, either. :p |

Not really, but that's okay. ;) You gave your political speech but did not answer the question that started this thread nor did you give much detail regarding your organization. |

you find it hypocritical, when in reality the two are not even one and the same. you are looking at two different situations, it's not a difficult concept. it's not her fault that someone put their info on the web. |

She had the CHOICE to read it or not to read it. Yes someone else posted it, which was wrong. But she didnt have to read it. If shes about staying outta others business, then she should have shown some maturity and stayed out of others business. |

she had a choice, because there was one provided to her. i'm sure people on this site would read up on our practices and secrets if a website was put up. and i'm sure sigmadiva (correct me if i'm wrong) doesn't give a blurple fuck about an orgs secrets outside of her own. that doesn't mean she's not going to read it if it's provided to her. the idiot who created the site made it public business. it has nothing to do with maturity or whatever you're talking about. |
