Kappa Alpha Chapter was installed today at Kennesaw State University and today was bid day for the colony of Zeta Chapter at Wittenberg University. Kappa Beta Chapter will be installed the weekend of 2/20-2/21 at Texas Tech. |
Still can't edit main post ..
UCLA (Alpha Xi Chapter) colonization has been postponed from Fall of 2016. No word yet on when that will take place. |
Maybe you could copy and paste into a new thread?

Responding to a post from a UT Alum-"I'm from University of Texas-beta alpha chapter and I'd love to see more Texas A xi d chapters like at Texas A&M, Tech or SMU."
After Texas Tech, does anyone know if there is hope for SMU or any of the other Texas Schools to colonize? Is UNT the same as North Texas State (wasn't there a chapter once at North Texas State)? |
Yes, University of North Texas did used to be North Texas State. Epsilon Omega chapter was open from 1969-1989.
Based on irishpipes' thread and not knowing what the housing situation is at the schools, I'd see Baylor opening before SMU, as well as possibly Texas A&M and TCU, if growth continues, but I guess we'll see. Doesn't appear that UNT has a large enough system at the moment to support another chapter, but that's just my opinion coming from a chapter that went from 164 to ~230. I'd rather see our resources at Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, UGA, and Clemson |
Based on some conversations I've had, I wouldn't expect us to expand to anywhere but the most needing of expansion. The schools G&Q mentioned seem potential to me. UNT? Not so much. Among the further dream list, I see Clemson as a most preferred (no housing) and UGA as least likely. Some of these schools still really need it. But I don't see us going into more SEC type schools until we have housing in place for a couple of our new chapters that need especially nice, expensive housing.
