This website is great and as a new member of Alpha Kappa Alpha it is nice to be able to meet sorors from all over. My name acurately describes me because my passion is dance. I perform, teach and choreograph dances. Dance gives you the freedom to tell a story and express yourself with out saying a word. Also there used to be a little black ballerina doll named.........Dancerella. Anyone remeber that?? :) :)

Ok, now WHY are you making me feel nostalgic? I had this doll, I think. Battery operated? Hold her hand, and she twirled for you, with her leg up? Pink and white lace outfit, hot pink shoes? That doll was easily breakable, lol. :)

It was easy to pick my name:
Blue for the other half of the "Blue and the White."
Z for the phenomenal ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
And 4 is my line number and lucky number.

My Id name is extremely simple-

Mine isn't hard at all:

I'm a member of Delta Sigma Theta and my zodiac sign is Aquarius. No rocket science here!:p

fatto 12-10-2001 04:00 PM

fato,

"fat": it's kinda the reverse of calling a fat dude "tiny." and the "o" is my first initial.

also, my drinking name given to me from my dearest brethren!

jojapeach 12-10-2001 05:39 PM

Plain and simple, I am a born and raised Georgia Peach straight outta Grady Memorial Hospital in ATL. (My parents weren't balling enough yet to go to a private hospital.) I had to take it a step further and represent on the real by spelling GA the way we country folks say it. I have my sophisticated side, but I have to recognize my country, downhome roots.

ClassyLady 12-10-2001 06:29 PM

I've been posting on GC for a long while now and I never bothered to reply to this thread.

My screen name is pretty easy "Classy" "Lady," the two things that I am.

I got the idea from an episode of Martin. It was one when Shanaynay (that can't be spelled right) was about to fight Gina and Pam but she didn't "because I'm a lady."

I thought that was too funny!

Diamond007 12-10-2001 07:53 PM

Diamond has been my name since highschool. I am hard as a rock , can't be broken, yet beautiful. DiamondKut is my line name. Diamond007 is my name because I love James Bond.

Champion

:) i picked my name cause i feel i am a champion!!!:p

IntricateDesign 01-02-2002 04:31 AM

Intricate = hard to follow or understand because full of puzzling parts, details, etc.; full of elaborate detail

Design = a plan to do - intend; arrangement of parts, form, color, etc.; artistic invention

I talk very fast and so does my mom. My family & friends always say that it's like trying to pick apart an IntricateDesign when trying to understand a conversation between my mom and me. I write poetry and I feel that all of my poems are pieces of me...and I am an artistic invention.

Urbane 01-02-2002 12:39 PM

Urbane means notably polite or finished in manner. “urban” tends to have all these negative connotations and by just adding an “e”… the word changes dramatically. As for why I chose it, I appreciate how I was raised with an emphasis on manners and the importance of being polite. My mother would always say in a Bajan accent… “know your place” and “make sure you say please and thank you”. Now that I’m grown, it’s still important to show others the respect they deserve. In my opinion, you can never be too polite.
