I also heard that in Nevada-whatever Britney earned while they were married (cd sales) etc, he is supposed to get fair share-that may be why she ended up getting him a porsche-too bad it costs a grand for an oil change!

If it's true, he probably could have gotten much more than that had he decided to make things difficult. That's lunch money to her right now anyway.

I'll be looking for a porche driving around town. Apparently her ex-hubby is hiding out in my hometown with a friend of his that's a former pro football player.

Wow...someone told me about this when I was out of town a couple days ago, but I didn't believe it. Geez.

one of the radio stations in boston is having a contest where you can win a "britney spears wedding weekend." they will fly you and a guest to las vegas, where will reenact the entire weekend. you will stay in the hotel she was in, party in the bar she was in, and walk down the aisle at that particular wedding chapel. not sure if they're planning on re-enacting the annullment though!

Someone told me that Britney was one of those Artists that won't sign autographs unless she is paid for them? Is that true?

Whoops! Yeah, that's DEFINITELY a drunk signature unless her hand was cramped from giving out her autograph to thousands of 12 year olds (which I have a feeling wasn't happening at 5:30 AM).

I don't think that's true. On her MTV special back in November, they showed her reaching into a crowd, grabing some guy's picture of her and signing it. Unless he slipped her a $20, it was a free autograph.

I don't know if she charges for autographs, but I wouldn't judge her behavior when it is off camera and off stage, based on what you see on MTV.

I know. I'm not naive enough to believe eveything I see on TV, especially MTV. I was just using that moment as an example. But, I also think it's silly to believe that a miillionaire is going to charge a small fee for an autograph. Especially when you know fans will spread the word about that kind of thing.

I think that its silly to believe that an image obsessed celebrity would do something incredibly dumb like elope, and then get that marriage immediately anulled.

Oh wait. That did happen. :p

Also, in the sports world, there are plenty of millionaires who charge money for autographs. ;)

Actually it was a parent that came inot where I worked that said some like 3rd graders didn't like her anymore because supposedly, a couple years ago, she refused to sign autographs unless they were paid for at some venue . . . he said it spread rapidly through that school anyway . . . they became anti-britney fans. I want to say it was at a stadium . .. has she done a national anthem?

If thats how she wants to be its her perogative. I don't see any moral imperative to give out free autographs.

Didn't a lot of baseball players start doing that?

Yeah, its been going on for years.

juniorgrrl 01-12-2004 01:21 AM

Apparently MTV caught up with her ex at a Chilis. That Chili's is about 5 minutes from my house. I have eaten there on many occasions. Weird.

That is all.
