well, since I'm compassionate, I can't vote conservatively

NYTimes: Conservatives are not compassionate, Liberals are not logical

Republican...was Democrat, but realized I agreed with more Republicans than Democrats and changed parties.

What? Because Kerry really was a poor man on welfare.

VERY Democrat. However, we're not registered to a party in VA. I don't always vote straight party lines (although most candidates I vote for are Dem). If McCain had won the nomination in 2000, I would have maybe voted for him.

I'm a registered Democrat and tend to vote for all democrats. However, liberals do make some strong points, as do the Republicans. I heard somewhere that ideally the plans for all these parties would be good for the country, but there are too many variables in the political system for it to work.

Republican, born and bred. I am the polar opposite of a bleeding heart liberal and always will be.

I have no official affiliation and I vote for Democrats and Republicans. However, I usually vote Republican. I am very conservative on moral issues. Politics in my state is usually voting for the person who will screw up LA the least.

I usually have voted Republican, but I held my nose and voted for Kerry in 2004, I guess I'm a suburban moderate Republican, don't care for the Religous Right or the extreme left. I like McCain. Have some libertarian attitudes as well.

I love when people say isht like, "Well, I would have voted (Democrat/Republican) but I'm actually (a nice person/compassionate/don't drown babies)." Thanks for the substanciated comment.

Registered Independent but have a feeling I will vote Republican from now on!

SmartBlondeGPhB 01-07-2005 04:35 PM

Not registered and never will if I can get out of it. Usually vote D but if push came to shove and you examined my base beliefs, I am probably one of those moderate R's. It's interesting to read about what the Republican Party of Lincoln started out as.

sdblonde07 01-07-2005 05:36 PM

Registered republican, though I don't necessarily vote on party lines. I tend to lean more left on social issues and more right on economical issues.
Really wanted J. Lieberman for 2004 but that didn't happen...I didn't particularly care for any of the '04 presidential candidates, so it was more like selecting the one who would do the least harm...

EPTriSigma 01-10-2005 03:22 AM

Republican
