You Heard It Here First: Sources confirm that rapper Nas and soul-rock singer Kelis are definitely an item. Apparently, the two artists have been dating for several months now. Reports that Kelis was dating Sean “P. Diddy” Combs are false, despite the fact that photos of the two shopping in Europe popped up on the internet. Insiders say that the hip-hop mogul has been trying to convince Kelis, who is signed to The Neptunes’ Star Trek Entertainment label through Arista Records, to join the roster of artists under his Bad Boy Management Company. Lil’ Kim was a client at Puffy’s management company as well, but as I reported in last week’s column, she felt she “was doing way more for him than he was doing for [her],” according to the latest edition of The Source.

Speaking Of Couples: All I am going to say is that a very reliable source tells me that Beyonce and Jay-Z are engaged. I ain’t confirming nor denying if I believe it, but either way you heard it here first. Nope, I didn’t call any publicists. Nope, I don’t plan on it. More “American Idol” News: They can’t announce it yet, but I sure can. My favorite “American Idol” contestant Tamyra Gray has inked a deal with RCA Records! RCA is also home to “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson. Both artists are featured on the RCA release, "American Idol: Greatest Moments," which is in stores now. It was also reported last week that “Idol” runner-up Justin Guarini has also inked a deal with RCA. In other news, as I reported two weeks ago, Tamyra has secured her multi-episode role on the Fox series “Boston Public.” Gray will make her acting debut on the David E. Kelley show during February 2003 sweeps. For four episodes, she'll portray an as-yet-unnamed student. "She gave a very impressive audition and while it's possible her character will sing, we are most interested in helping to launch her as a dramatic actress," said "Boston Public" Executive Producer Jason Katims in a prepared statement.

Persia White who plays "Lynn" on Girlfriends, has left the show to persue her Christian CD. She was at a church in Houston on Sunday promoting the CD and said she did not agree with how the character Lynn was portrayed. I'm not sure if she completed the seaon for this year or not.

Jay Z and Beyonce' are filming their video in Mexico this weekend. They are rumored to be engaged as well. Toni Braxton are blaming them for stealing her song. This morning the DJ on the radio mixed both versions of the song together. Both songs sound great.

Halle started choking on fruit while on set for a nude scene I believe for the Bond Movie. The leading guy (I forgot his name), started to pat her back and shake her but that did not help. He felt awkward about putting his arms around her because they were both nude. Luckily she spat out the fruit.

Bobby Brown Goes Wacko On Usher At His B-Day Bash

The New York Post reports Bobby Brown was solo and out of control Monday night during Usher's birthday party at the Highlands club in Los Angeles. Hitting the show without wife Whitney Houston, a source says Brown "stumbled down the stairs" and approached him. "Bobby got down on his hands and knees and started bowing to Usher. Usher invited him on stage and told the crowd, 'Here's my man Bobby Brown, the original king of R&B!' and they hugged." But after the hug, Brown "went all Jekyl & Hyde" on Usher and started screaming, "You need to respect me! You took my spot! You are taking away my shine! I should be on stage, not you!" A shocked Usher had to call security to escort Brown away when Houston's hubby tried to fight him on stage.

In a recent interview, singer Angie Stone discussed her relationship with singer Calvin. Angie and Calvin are no longer friends and partners. Angie and Calvin recorded a song More Than A Woman, but when Calvin went behind Angie’s back and signed with another record label Angie decided not to release the song with him. Angie re-recorded the song with singer Joe and she says the break up with Calvin hurt her. Angie says Calvin owes her a hundred thousand dollars. Angie says she formed a production company with him and helped him with his image. Angie has also revealed how she stuck by him with his baby mama drama.

Remember Jack Gordon? He used to be married to Latoya Jackson. Jack says he has written a book on the Jackson Family that he says is the true story of the most powerful family in the music industry. In the book, Jack claims that his former brother in law, Michael Jackson, used to abuse Bubbles the chimp. Jack says Michael would beat up the chimp. He also claims that Michael paid his former wives Debbie Rowe and Lisa Marie Pressley to marry him and that he would inject himself with fluid to lighten his skin. He also says Michael practices Voodoo. Jack is currently looking for a publisher.

Tennis sensation Serena Williams is coming to TV. Serena is going to play a kindergarten teacher on the ABC Show My Wife and Kids.
