Only if I can chronicle the whole story on the AI subforum and tell everyone that I approached several national HQs with code names like Puffalumps, Pound Puppies, My Little Ponies, and Garbage Pail Kids.

SoCalGirl 07-29-2007 03:21 AM

exactly. The point is to be discrete. Besides, I always throught trolls were gross looking. And they never wore pants. I never really understood that. I always try to leave the house with pants on. It's the least I can do for my neighbors. Plus, it's a sign of good breeding.

aww but the rhinestones were so much fun and magical! and couldn't they grant wishes or something? I'm a bit fuzzy on the details now?

if you really want to be discreet, I recommend Rainbow Brite

Or you could name sororities after something fun like alcoholic beverages. I tried to do that with my own retro thread, then I realized I hate retro recruitment threads enough that I didn't even care enough about my own rush to actually keep writing it.

I think you could rub the tummy or the rhinestone and make a wish. It was like a creepy plastic Buddha knock-off. The only retro recruitment thread I read was that trainwreck that "Recruitment" wrote. What a fake!

cuteASAbug 07-29-2007 03:34 AM

And what a thread that was....

Here's my recruitment thread. I didn't take it very far.

Sigma Kappa has to be Pound Puppies because they're the best and I collected them.

But can you sing the theme song?

Sigma Kappa can be Pound Puppies. I had a Pound Puppies watch when I was little. You un-velcroed (sp?) the puppy's head and checked the time on a really awesome digital watch.

That sounds pretty freaking awesome and I'm kind of jealous. Although I did have a baby blue digital photo watch. Except that none of my pictures were smal enough to put in the watch.

I never saw the cartoon! I don't think we had it. We definitely had carebears and My Little Ponies though. The MLP cartoons rocked so hard. Especially the Sea Ponies.

Call upon the Sea Ponies when you're in distress.
Helpful as can be ponies - simply signal SOS.
If you find you're cast adrift and haven't got an oar.
Count upon the Sea Ponies - they'll see you to shore!

Mariana has the whole first season...including Midnight Castle.

And yes, she does watch them more often than I do (most of the time:o).
