I have no clue as to where that homeless shelter is located!

RefinedDiva...you get a chop (do you know what that means?) for adding your input after every commercial break!!!! :D That was so cute to me!

My thoughts...

The show is getting better and better. Let's just say that this easily takes the place of Soul Food. Chopper and Fred are immature. Is it just me or are Fred's lips forever CHAPPED?! Dang, negro get some Carmex!!!!

It trips me out how Puffy had them online for real...talking about community service! Whew...off the chain!

Sara is really humble and she is my favorite. That's it. Babs and the rest of them are pissing me off! I feel bad for Sara because she is really trying, but by the rest of them messing up, she is suffering.

I think that they are tripping by coming down hard on her for not being able to learn the song. I think that it would be easier if they wrote the lyrics down for her and made sure she knew the melody. They can't read. She can't rap. I would rather not know how to rap.

By far, Sara is my favorite. She is humble and is the only one who seems to take things seriously. I was about to reach through the T.V. to give Babs a pimpslap. She was dogging Sara for not knowing Biggie's song "Juicy", but I bet that heffa doesn't know any Faith Evans or 112 songs lyric for lyric. And no, that heffa can't read.

Lesson for the day (for the illiterate band members): R.I.F. - Reading Is Fundamental!!!!

I like Sara too. I was too through that many of the band members could not read for nothing. The house is HOT!! The funniest thing was when Fred saw the picture of his daughter. "That looks like my baby." "That IS my baby!" Fool, don't you know what your own child looks like. For some reason that was just TOO funny to me. Maybe it was my Nyquil.

LOL!!!!

....That was funny....but I think I laughed more when he took the food that they were trying to eat after being outside reading all day"Too much eatin', Too much eatin'...ya'll better find a homeless person and give it to them." P.D. was NOT playin!

I liked the fact that Puff thought it was important for everyone to work at a homeless shelter in order to appreciate how thankful they should be for the blessings they have. When Sara cried, I almost cried too. Having worked in a couple of shelters myself, I came to realize that I had a false security when it came to being homeless. But, after really talking to some of the homeless and listening to some of their stories, I know that it is just by GRACE that most of us are not where they are.

The house was nice, but what was Puff talking about when he pointed to the CLOSED door and said "Don't ever touch this room...this is my room"???

I think that may the control room. There is usually a room hidden in every Real World house that acts as the control room, where they look at the footage. Puff had to let them know that they had to stay out because you know how people get when they are somewhere new and fancy. They want to see and touch everything in every room, but they are not supposed to go into the control room. The residents know that they are being taped, but I don't think that they really know what goes on behind the scenes. I don't think that they realize that someone is in that room 24/7 watching their EVERY move on camera.

delph998 06-26-2003 12:11 PM

Sara worked it out when she learned those songs!!! I like her a lot...she's very humble! That's my show!

skeeliteful 06-26-2003 03:01 PM

OK...I am sooooo upset that these people can spit lyrics and freestyle their butts off.....but CAN'T READ!!! P. Diddy should have looked them up in a room with Hooked on Phonics than at the dang on Car Wash. But he made up for it by making them go to the homeless shelter. That experience probably made them more humble than anything else.

I give Sara so much credit for wanting to learn the lyrics to the songs.

That house was toooo tight. I like how P. Diddy added the personal touch by putting Fred's baby picture in there (upset at the fact he didn't recognize his own child  ) and the caricatures of all of them.

Sad but true

You know it's like that for a lot of rappers!

evaclear04 06-26-2003 06:23 PM

How in the HAYLE are you going to be able to rap but can't read?!?! Wouldn't those two things be considered synonymous? Why am I ashamed that they even showed them struggling to read. That's not cute!
I got to give it to Puff...having them work in the homeless shelter was exactly what they needed. He should make it a requirement for them to live in the house. Or atleast some forms of community service...it will help keep there heads out of the clouds and keep them in a group mentality.
See you there next wednesday!

Think about it, how many little kids do you know who can recite Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Lil Kim's new songs verbatim but can't spell their name? When they grow up, they become Chopper and Babs.

I like Sara a lot too. I think that her humility has a lot to do with the fact that is older and much more mature than her bandmates. And, she also has more to worry about than they do. She has a husband and three babies that she has to look out for. She can't just be playing and having fun in NYC because bills have to be paid and people got to be fed back in Michigan.

Diddy is breaking these bandmates down the way they need to be. He is trying to give them a higher level of respect for Hip Hop and the struggles that many of the great artists have had to go through. I do, however, think that it is a little presumptive on his part to assume that none of them have had to struggle or pay dues in their pasts. Ness even admitted that he had been homeless before.

I agree with the part about them needing to learn to respect hip-hop. They believe that since they got on with Diddy that it was straight to the top. WRONG!

However, I can see where Diddy was coming from by assuming that none of them had ever been through things. They were all putting it out there that they were above it all. To say that Chopper and Fred were from the hood in their respective cities, and that Ness had been homeless, they didn't have that "Will Work For Food" attitude that most people that need something have. They were all out there like "OK, we made the band. You owe us something." Did they forget that Diddy was the one that made the band? Therefore, he doesn't have to keep the band. He runs the band the way that he sees fit. They need to respect that. They needed to be grounded. They just had the stars in they eyes and all the glitz and glamour that Bad Boy has to offer on their mind. Diddy broke them down quick!

OKay now I WANTED to feel bad for Babs when Puffy dissed her hair but that mess was REALLY ugly. He was right about her needing to explore more hair options.

Getting Dylan to a dermatologist? Straight comedy. Straaaaaaiiiiight comedy. I wanted to stand up and cheer. OR offer to pay for cab fare.

Why is this show really making me like Puffy? This is excellent PR for him- MTB I did nothing for Lou Perlman because he always seemed creepy and TOO nice, like he was going to ask one of those boy to do something "special" for him. Puffy is using this show to the fullest.

Gina1201 07-02-2003 11:18 PM

I was CTFU all throughout tonight's show.

First off, I cannot believe that Babs was flipping out that bad over some HAIR!!! Was it that serious? Hell to the NO!! I mean, I know everyone likes to have their hair done but give me a break. And the scene where her and Bentley went to the hair shop was pure comedy. Seeing him sniff the hair had me ROFL. Seriously though, someone needs to help Babs. Her hair looked a HOT MESS after it was done!! And what is up with the white eyeliner. She keeps saying that she's tight, well chick your 'do isn't. If you're supposed to be the "first lady of the streets" then you need to come correct. When MTV showed the preview for the season, I thought something really bad happened to her. Also, if she talks about Sorority Life, ONE MORE TIME!!

Second, having Farnsworth Bentley on the show is going to be so funny. First off, he acts so funny (not in a gay sense). What was up with his orange socks? The funniest scene was when he called Puff to tell him that Babs had left and went to Brooklyn. I really thought that he was going to cry if she did not return.

At the end when Puff had them lineup was also hilarious. I don't think Sara is that big, but what he said about everyone else was right on the money. Especially with Fred and his hair. Was it just me or did he say that he hadn't washed his hair in like 2 years? http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-040.gif

Can't wait for next week! http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-070.gif

UpPinkies 07-02-2003 11:35 PM

Yes he did say he hadn't washed his hair in two years. Sara looked fine to me, she is a pretty girl. On one hand Babs made me mad because she disrespected Bentley by leaving the house after he has spent HIS OWN MONEY TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE!!!!
But then on the other hand, when she came back she had a positive attitude, so maybe the trip was needed.

But Puffy was right about her hair styles, that mess she brought was horrible!!! I was like , that is why you flipped out!! But I hope they all make it.

Bentley's outfits are off the hook!!!

delph998 07-03-2003 12:54 AM

Lawdy, Lawdy, Lawdy!

This show was HILARIOUS!!!!

Babs, YOU'RE NOT CUTE AT ALL! Stop saying you're tight...because you're not! Your braids were TIGHT to your scalp, and that's it! What was that mess?! She looked horrible with that gold hair. Gina1201, you had me cracking up when you said that about that THICK AZZ WHITE EYE LINER!!! Why is she a native of New York and wearing that mess on her eyes. Doesn't she know what's "in" with makeup?! Oh...cry me a river! Her attitude was completely out of control! The way she snapped on Ness was totally out of pocket. She keeps talking about how she's leaving the house and things, but she always ends up coming back. MAKE UP YOUR MIND! These people are acting like they're already ballin'! Where is your humility? I wouldn't be surprised if Mina comes back, y'all!

Puff is OFF THE CHAIN! Why did he put Mr. Bentley on line?! I felt so bad for him when Puff told him that Baps better be there once he got there and hung up!!! DANG, IS BENTLEY TRYING TO MAKE THE BAND TOO?! Okay, Mr. Bentley, what's up with those house shoes you had on? What's up with the pink socks? Help a sista out! I'm trying to understand you!

PUFFY, PUFFY, PUFFY, why did you tell Dylan that he needed to go the dermatologist?! You need to take CHOPPA's tail there too! I was so shook when he told Sara to start working out. WHAT?! She looks good, but I guess she has to get that spotlight look going on! Baps needs to have a makeover. Fred, STOP SUCKING YOUR THUMB and fix that hair (yes, he has not washed his hair in two years).
