I am wondering if some of the increase is also because many schools now have an upper class quota? Since implementation of the upper class quota at the school I advise, we have seen a big increase of participation by that segment each year. Any thoughts?

In my opinion, I don't think UC quota is much of a factor. It seems like it is hard to find out which schools even have a UC quota. And, even with it, chapters don't seem to be pressured to take that quota like they are the "normal" quota. I think the rise is more likely due to the free advertising that social media provides, increased disposable income of parents (or, the willingness of parents to spend any amount on their kid whether they can actually afford it or not), kids who are used to having a very scheduled social life, and an increase in people going to college. I do like the UC quota though, and wish more schools used it.

I agree, I think the huge social media ramp up has gotten more girls to rush

on a much, much smaller scale .... Murray State University (Kentucky) started the week with 258 PNM & ended with 233 sorority women. 90% ... not too shabby!

LSU RECRUITMENT 2015

Has anyone gotten info on LSU 2015 PNM totals? Any good LSU recruitment stories? I have cousin going through and I am curious to know how it is going in BR.

over 500 signed up at Western Kentucky University ... another small, but growing system.

I'm watching with great interest -- a lot of students from this area go to WKU, and Delta Zeta is colonizing there this semester. I can't wait to start writing recs for them! :D

Good to see numbers increasing on The Hill.

If the number of PNMS keeps growing this way at a school like Alabama I wonder if they'll have to add an extra day to the recruitment schedule to accommodate the amount of parties needed. Especially with the withdrawal rate declining.

Apparently there are plans to add a day to Alabama's schedule next year.

I'm not sure I will survive recruitment if I ever have granddaughters who attend Alabama (or any other SEC school). Been there once for me. Been there twice with them.

UW Madison

We just surpassed the 900 mark at Wisconsin.
This is the highest number since I've been volunteering (over the last 6 years). Last year's registration was around 850 or so. Last year quota was 50 (or maybe 52? Anyway, low 50s)
This is great to see, since this will be AXiD's first full, formal recruitment since they recolonized.
First day of Round One is this Saturday (prior to the football game, of course). GO BADGERS!
