Is kappa the house you thought was "not good" based off of Greek rank? If so, this is a prime example of how terrible and inaccurate that site is. KKG is a strong chapter at uk with a strong alumni network. It scares me that sites like that can negatively influence pnm's before the ever start rush.

As if Ashley Judd would have been a member of a "bad sorority."

Seriously, that site is the devil.

Thank you! We think it is the most beautiful too! We may be biased.....

I have been in the Kappa house. I dont know if it is the best not having been in every house at UK, but I did think it was one of the best from the ones I have been inside.

My UK rec went Pi Beta Phi as well, per her twitter account.

Congratulations to Moms and New Members! Let the shopping for t-shirts, tote bags and other cute stuff with their new letters and symbols begin! I am so happy for all of you!

I know you are all right and greek rank is inaccurate but not knowing anything about sororities, I was looking for information anywhere. I know she will be very happy with KKG and I am glad she didn't let other information sway her decision about which house to pick. Sometimes are kids can be more mature than we are.

Thank you for sharing your stories, Moms!

For real! Same applies to her stellar choice for her undergraduate college. ;)

Congrats to her! Now, maybe you can go back and fix some of your posts where you essentially tell the whole GC community that the two chapters she had left (one of which she is now a member) were not her "top" choices or the fact that she had such "high hopes" and you hate to see her so disappointed this early in college. I can see how that would truly offend her new sisters.

Relax. Plenty of people who share their story here are not thrilled with their invites and express disappointment at least once. It's pretty clear she loved them by the time she got her bid.

I would hate for Mom to change her posts. It is a good testament to letting the PNM make her own decision, trusting the process and listening to her heart.

Did you go back and read her posts? Maybe she "loved" them because she now has to love them--I mean, that's where she got her bid, right? I did and can say that if I was a member of the UK chapter, I would be pretty offended that his mother felt the need to tell the world that her daughter wasn't happy with our chapter because we essentially weren't "good enough" for her. Maybe she needs to use a little more discretion, especially when posting in a thread for UK recruitment that will be viewed by many PNMs who choose to look it up for next year.

For the record, I also have a problem with the women who come on here and say that their daughters didn't care for certain other chapters at University of Kentucky because of a certain website. Don't make it obvious who you are talking about, especially if you are going to say that a chapter wasn't what you had hoped or was less desirable.

ALS463 could it be you are mixing up 2 users posting here? I am not seeing CATFAN ever mentioning houses until she says her daughter is now a Phi Mu. There are similar user names posting different experiences and outcomes in this thread.

You can go back in and click on her name. It will let you look at threads or posts started by her. She made statements like I said above. Unless she went back and deleted them or decided to edit them, they are in this thread.

Great gravy leave the Mom alone. She was honest, sought advice and it worked out. If you are offended don't read the thread.
