No I haven't. But I have had to deal with a friend who was run over by a drunk driver in an incident that is almost too horrific to remember.

And that time it showed how close our community was. We stood together, went to city hall, and got the reward money raised for information that lead to the arrest of the driver and the passenger (who stopped to pull off the body of another victim, who thankfully didn't die, and just left him on the side of the road as they drove off).

But I didn't bring it up because it was an awful experience, and it would not have been classy.

I'm so sorry about your friend. That's horrible. But that's a powerful story about how your community pulled together, not the negative aspects that are being discussed in this thread. (I don't mean that disrespectfully at all.)

EXACTLY.

And I echo DTD Alum's sentiment that the Row today is NOWHERE near as wild as it used to be.

And I echo everyone's sentiment that those on the outside cannot POSSIBLY pass judgement on what is and is not true sisterhood.

As a USC Alumna, a local at USC WOULD NEVER WORK. Sure SDT became a National, and there have been hundreds of orgs over the years that didn't. The Greek System is very traditional and SDT's success is in that they aren't trying to be Kappa or Theta or DG.

Anyway, my two cents, FWIW
