My oldest step son started college last week. My step daughter (middle child) started high school this year. My youngest step- son started 7th grade.
It seems like yesterday when I was giving the younger two piggy back rides and building forts with them in the living room and calling the oldest one down for blowing bubbles in his soft drinks and blowing the paper off the straws in restaurants...or teaching him to drive for that matter... |
I'm going to be a wife in less than two months!

One of my friends from middle school sent her daughter off to Kindergarten today. now, where are my glasses and my walker... |
The start of freshman year at college was 30 years ago this week. I just turned 48 on Tuesday.

I just moved into a new house and I got overly excited that the kitchen sink has one of those sprayer hose things... it was then that I realized I feel old.

A lot of the old music I get into that's now a remake of some sort, the younger generation that's about 10 years younger than I am, they think the original is a remake of the new. Haha!
|
Talking about a TV show I loved as a kid (and everyone my age knows), and getting blank stares from the freshmen, they've never heard of it... and I'm only 24! OMG

I had my kitchen remodeled last year, and I opted for a traditional type of faucet instead of the newfangled kind with a single handle. I don't even know how those work! I just want to be able, say, to get cold water by using a handle on the right-hand side without having to think about forward, backward, left, and right. Talk about an oldie.

- I feel old when someone whose age ends in '-teen' is coming into this thread and commenting about how old he is.
