KD pledged quota + as well. I think Freshman quota was 36 and then I think sophomore/junior quota was 8 or 9 more. Just got back in town from College Station. All the groups did well. Congratulations to all the new Aggie Greeks.

Holy Buckets! That's HUGE increase over the last few years. Maybe switching to slightly deferred recruitment was what that campus needed. Now, if only the girls going through don't have their hopes set on a few chapters. I'd be very interested to see if there are many dropouts between this weekend and next.

Kansas State U ZTA Colonization

Now that formal recruitment at K-State is over, Zeta Tau Alpha's colonization is coming up!

http://www.k-state.edu/greek/recruitment/sorority.htm

“Zeta Tau Alpha will . . . conduct its membership recruitment and selection process after the close of fall formal recruitment. Beginning August 30, ZTA will be on campus to provide information and to sign up potential members for their colonization process.* Their colonization will take place the week of September 12-16 and will include infoviews with national officers, recruitment events to learn more about Zeta Tau Alpha and an invitation-only preference party.”

(For more information, contact links, etc., see address above ^^)

I'll second that. You gotta love those Aggie Greeks. They are special. Congrats to my KD friends there and my cousin's DZs.

I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by posting these, but I have these figures for ADPi:

56 - Texas Tech
50 - Texas Christian
56 - University of Florida
42 - Georgia Tech
79 - U of Arizona
59 - FSU
70 - Oklahoma State
86 - u of South Carolina
60 - UCF
43 - UK of Tennessee, Knoxville
77 - Mizzou
63 - U of Kentucky
49 - KSU
29 - Iowa State

I have no idea of any quotas involved, so I can only hope that these are great figures! ;)

And I stood corrected. It was 744! I have just heard from a gal who's going through and gave me a quick recap of the Welcome round. She's having a great time and only had a negative experience at 2 of the 15 houses, so not bad!

She did say she wished this was happening the week before school started because it's interfering with homework, but if 250 more girls are rushing, that might be indicative of a win for the system! But of course, we'll see.

University of Wisconsin FR starts Monday. As of now, there are 513 women registered :)

kchaptergphib 08-29-2010 06:25 PM

hmmm... make that 675 and climbing at UW Madison.
Parties start at 1pm tomorrow and the ladies are still registering! Ack! More last-minute work for me. Now, where was that cocktail that was posted on one of the other recruitment threads?

camom 08-29-2010 06:50 PM

Are you an advisor for Gamma Phi? That's a lot of last minute girls.
