And MBurden was ridiculous. The extreme cliff notes:

Hi, I'm 30 and I want to rush, but I also want to have a condescending attitude toward everyone who tells me something other than "go for it!" Then I start an AI thread 5 minutes later after deciding I don't want to try and be a collegian anymore.

I remember her. I think it was also found out that Mary was her name (ashame because that is my name). That lady was crazy!!!!!

MBurden was also Reach The Limit.

Lets just go ahead and add TarnishaThomas to the list.
I hate that her name is so close to mine :(

You know, the NPHC sororities get probably more than their fair share of crazies around this time of year, but does it seem to anyone else that it all happened at once this time around?

I think ILoveAKA pointed out that both AKA & DST's Founders Days are both in Jan.

So the interested peeps are extra crunk this time of year.

OK, now I remember. She was a hot mess and a half! AI threads are almost guaranteed to be a trainwreck...which is why I have a love/hate relationship with them!

An oldie but goodie NPHC trainwreck:

http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ad.php?t=85052

If you can't see it:

Basically some girl asked if she could join an NPHC after being in an NPC, then (after getting negative responses) came back and said she had already done it, lol. Wreckage.

I'm confused though - they're all in HS. Or at least that's what they're saying. This may tread on MS for AKA or DST so if any of the NPHCers want to tell me to STFU it's cool - but are high-schoolers eligible to be serious interests?

I might be lane swerving, but I'm 99% sure (based on what I have seen on GC) to be eligible to join an NPHC, you have to be a full-time student at a 4 year college. So no HS kids.

It's Jan., so maybe the kids are getting college acceptances (I started getting mine around this time) and are extra hype about going Greek when they get to their respective schools.

I don't think that's where they need to be focused though. Every single NY trainwreck poster looks as though they need to pledge the library when they get to school.

Other explanations:

1) They aren't really HS students.
2) They are HS students whose school and parents allow too much internet access; and DST and AKA are the only sororities with name recognition for them.

The mods are trying to show us things that us peons cannot view.

Is it just me or do most threads in the Fraternity Recruitment forum end up trainwrecks?

starang21 01-11-2010 10:33 PM

shamikat's first thread on here. and then the subsequent thread on :board that should not be named:.
