how fabulous!! congratulations on your newest members and on your big sister.

my big was a senior and as much as i loved her, it was alright when we came back the following fall. we were all so busy preparing for recruitment that none of us hardly had time to miss the past years seniors, and i was looking forward to getting a little sister!

I also had a big as a senior, and it was great to have her insight to rely on. You're lucky that you get her all year (we did deferred recruitment in January)! And it definitely gives you time to focus in the fall on recruitment and being the best big sister you can be when that time comes. Being a big is a lot of fun!

do i sometimes still think about what it would be like to be in a diff chapter? yep

does it matter?
NO!

i think a pnm can likely be happy in any sorority, so i glad that i am happy in mine

Ggirl, I'm so happy to hear you love your sorority and your big. I'm so glad you stuck it out, gave it a fair chance, and kept an open mind. I think a lot of pnms could benefit from reading this thread.

hey ladies, just a quick update: i just got my badge and it is beyond gorgeous. i am obsessed. plus i get something else with it too because of something else (haha sorry that is so vague but i don't want to give away my glo) anyway i am very excited for a mixer we have this weekend.

to any pnm reading this thread: if you HONESTLY give it a chance (and trust me i did!) , i think being greek in any sorority is far more rewarding than not going greek at all. just my 2 cents

I love this whole quote. I'm sure many girls think about what it would be like if different sororities just out of curiousity, including me, but I would never look to another sorority again.

I remember your story. You had doubts from the start, but I wish every PNM would understand that it's normal and that your feelings will only grow for the sorority the longer they are in it.
