Yea Rosalie found him dying of bear attack injuries so she ran him to Carlisle, who changed him for her. She asked Carlisle to change him because he reminded her of Henry, the baby of her friend she met up with the night she was changed. Emmett is from the 1930s.

Other than that, entertaining. Question for next movie, will Bella's wedding dress be made of flannel plaid, and will Jacob wear a shirt?

OMG YES please fire the person in charge of hair!!!!! it was AWFUL.

If I remember correctly, in the book Alice picks out Bella's dress for her and its a one-of-a-kind design (and super pricey), sooo Im guessing its not flannel lol.

I just reread the book to prepare for the movie (since it'd been a while, and I apparently like to set myself up like that :p), but I got the impression from the book that the Volturi did know that the newborn army was after Bella. I don't have my book with me, but it was along the lines that they weren't hurrying to the clearing (maybe Alice saw them stopped?) and Edward made a comment about it to Jane after the battle had already gone down.

Did I dream this or did Emmett have blonde hair in the first movie? And he's a brunette now in the third?

Speaking of hair...Jasper. -sigh- WHY do they do this to him?

Eclipse wasn't as wretched as the last two. I managed to get through it with a limited amount of eye-rolls. :) Enjoyed the action/fight scenes the most.

Expected Bree (the newborn) to be a lot more feral. Instead, in the film, she just appeared to have a mild case of indigestion.

Favorite line from the movie....

I'm hotter than you.

Best frickin part of the movie!

Team Jacob for the movie!

My question though, really Bella is so incredibly whiny, it is amazing that these two mean are falling over themselves to be with her. LOL. She's not quite as annoying in the first book (which I'm reading right now). Plus, Kristen Stewart, as an actress really doesn't impress me.

I liked it. I agree about the hair dresser.

The Volturi did know. I don't know if it's talked about in Eclipse, but they definitely clear it up in The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. After having read that though, they did make a couple of changes that kind of irked me, but overall it was worth the 2 hours for me. I think Dakota Fanning did a much better job in this film too.

nikki1920 07-06-2010 09:39 AM

they did know, which is why they killed her.

Loved the tent scene, but mad they left out the "top ten nights" line.

I am solidly Team Jake, but put a shirt on!!!

No drive up to the party? No Emmett and Alice conspiring with Jake, each of their noses scrunched up to lessen the smell? boo. .

And they left out the most important part of Rose's story: little Henry.

The fight scenes made up for it though. And Leah!!

Got home last night, and just looked it up (really enjoyed the movie, kept thinking about things "moved" out of sequence between the movie and book, but still enjoyed it).

From pg. 577:

"Well, it appears that there's not much left for us to do. Odd," Jane said, apathy creeping back into her voice. "We're not used to being rendered unnecessary..."

(Edward) "...It's a shame you didn't arrive just a half hour earlier. Perhaps then you could have fulfilled your purpose here."

Jane met Edward's glare with unwavering eyes. "Yes. Quite a pity how things turned out, isn't it?"

Edward nodded once to himself, his suspicions confirmed.

So while it doesn't come right out and state that the Volturi knew, I think it was definitely implied in this passage :)

You nerds are making me want to read the book again and then go see the movie again. Maybe when it comes out at the dollar theater. :p

In my opinion, Kirsten Stewart has two faces at her disposal

even her petulant moments come across as a combination of these two.
