I saw the first new ep online but plan to watch it again tonight. Very much a throwback to the first couple of seasons humor-wise. (I'm not a big fan of the episodes from 2001–03.)

I saw it and it is AMAZING. There's no foul language. I think the rating is because there is some "violence" because it's a story about cops. There are drug busts and gang members. If I had kids, I wouldn't have a problem with them seeing it, but it may make you feel better if yoiu watch it without them first.

LOVE the movie. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

You were SO right - I'm not usually a laugh-out-loud person or tear shedder (shiny eyes, sure, but not actual streaming down your face) at movies, but I did both several times. SnaKings...LOL

Harry's Law - good show. The whole Wonder Woman thing last night took away from the better story line, so I wish they had kept that to a minimum. Last night, Harry and Tommy were trying to establish personhood for a gorilla in order to grant someone guardianship (as opposed to zoo-ownership). Good stuff. Reminiscent of Planet of the Apes, of course, but still quite powerful for a law-based show.

Fans of Imitation of Life: The similar movie Lost Boundaries is on TCM Monday afternoon. I've never seen it but have seen most of the others in that genre, e.g., Pinky, Kings Go Forth, The Human Stain.

Imitation of Life is the first movie I remember crying through. When Mahalia Jackson sang at the funeral, I just lost it. I couldn't have been but about 12 and saw it on tv.

Anyone out there watch Alcatraz on FOX last night? I didn't watch Lost so I wasn't fully prepared for the JJ Abrams format. I liked it ok and will watch it again, but not sure how the premise is going to play out over a whole season without getting hokey.

Now Grey's has 2 preg cast members? Will ANY of the women be around for the finale?

This.

I was probably in 5th grade or something and my mom rented it. Mistake. I bawled.

The only reason I watched a re-run of the new season of The Game this evening:

Steve Brady from SATC (played by David Eigenberg) has played Malik's agent/manager for at least one episode.

That is all. The End.

I didn't see a recent American Idol thread so I thought I'd post this here.

I don't really keep up with American Idol, so I don't know if she's still in the running, but Lauren Minsk is a Phi Mu. Just thought I'd share a AI Greek connection!

So I had to discribe Jesus Christ Superstar to a friend of mine before. I end up with "It's the Cats version of Passionof the Christ."

Except unlike Cats, JCSS has a plot. And isn't boring. :D

JCSS also didn't have its most popular song written mere hours before opening night.

I enjoyed the 2-hour Criminal Minds season finale last night. The ending was kind of cheesy.

I think it is funny that Rocsi is dating Eddie Murphy.

Eddie Murphy is definitely not the hotness that he used to be. He has not gotten better with age.

Are you talking about looks or talent?

His wife (and other "celebrity divorcees") are on a new reality show. We're slowing running out of ideas for shows.

I watched both episodes of Hollywood Exes. That show will not last long.

knight_shadow 07-03-2012 12:39 PM

Whoops. I meant *ex-wife

She is still gorgeous. She has aged gracefully.

Anyone planning on reading J.K. Rowling's A Casual Vacancy?
