GC2 I still have a chance to win as long as Brady, Thomas Jones and the Bears D score at least 22 points combined. In theory this should happen, but who knows.

For my other leagues, in one I'm up by 4 with Urlacher and Ogunleye going tonight. He has Corey Dillon. (we use IDPs in this league) This could be a nail-biter.

In the other I'm down by 9 with Brady and the Bears D to go, and she has Thomas Jones. Please, Belichick, don't pull Brady early! :D

I can't believe that I am playing for the championship in GC2...woo hoo!

Now all I have to do is make sure which teams are using their starters in WK 17...so they can rest up for the NFL playoffs....

I am assured second place….that ain’t bad for a person who never cracked the top 5 during the season :D…given that I’ve never beaten SH….I don’t think I am going to start this week!

so how are we going to figure out the overall champion again? I think we should just use the week 17 points from both leagues (assuming the point values were made equal, they were right?) to crown an overall champion

Side note - Tom Jackson is actually a really cool guy. I was able to talk to him for a while when I was doing a story for my paper at ESPN. A very nice guy (much like most of the on-air personalities at the network).

you are playing. in the consolation bracket. you might not have noticed it, i didnt until today...

Quite honestly, I don't really think the playoffs are the end-all be-all of fantasy football. I think fantasy football is more about the overall season than one or two great games. I think they help in close situations. But when someone has stomped all over everyone in a season like Bobby has, it is crazy to say that because he lost in the playoffs (that everyone played in, not just the top four) he shouldn't be champion. C'mon, are you seriously going to say that the league champion should solely be determined by the league playoffs?

its the American way. and I didnt make the decision to have playoffs anyway. But someone did and we have to respect that.

Well, the team that wins the Super Bowl is the champion, even if it ends up being someone other than the Colts or the Seahawks. Bobby's just not shufflin' on down, doin' it for you.

Yeah, but in the NFL, not everyone goes to the playoffs. I set it so everyone could go to the playoffs in order to figure up GC champions by record/points. I thought this was decided way back.

lol no worries all. I understood from the get go that everyone was gonna make the playoffs. I just thought I would have a bye week cuz I finished pretty high. Either way I should have payed attention.

Anyways, I probably still would have lost because my players aren't getting any playing time. And well, they basically have nothign to play for now.


All is good. Next year I will seriously kill though. It just sux that Shaun Alexanders TDs are good for nothing now. Meh.

I also really don't care how the champ is decided..there are some games that I should have won...but picked the wrong players....its in the last few games that I actually picked the right people.....

I am happy that I am finishing (at least) 2nd in the playoff situation.

That is my point. Shaun Alexander will score atleast 1 TD next week. Hell, he scored 3 TDs last week. Yet none of his TDs meant crap because none of you guys had him, and I was eliminated.

They helped knock me out in one of my other leagues. :mad:
