highs: its my 2 year anniv w/ my bf (and he LOVES the ipod!!!)

lows: just dropped $170 on 15 books for my greek mythology class :( ((although i did save tons buying the rest of my books online, and selling my old chem book for $90))

high:eating lunch with my two fav pi phis...AND getting an awesome package from my pi phi pen pal from MO BETA!

low: spilling something on shirt in lab causing it to eat a hole in it....of course i jsut bought the shirt yesterday!


HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADY PI PHI!

First off, sorry not to be around as much. Grad school is sucking my life away, so I get on GC as much as I can.

Highs: I LOVE IU, the people I've met, and the friends I've made. Today I even ran into an old close friend from HS! Small world huh? It's almost the weekend, and my bf is coming to visit. I haven't seen him in 3 weeks! Oh, and this is going to some lame, but I finally get to sit and down and eat. I don't really have a lot of random time to do that anymore. LOL

Lows: School isn't that stressful yet, but it's hard being on campus for some a long period of time. (IE tomorrow 8am-6pm not counting studying afterwards) I'm also slightly tired of hearing a few of the second years whine and complain that the first years are taking up their space. Sorry, but I pay IU tuition too. :rolleyes:

HIGHS: Umm...last night my favorite bartender was at Chumleys and one class was cancelled today.

LOWS: hot dog buns + butter + italian seasonings DO NOT EQUAL GARLIC BREAD! Thanks to our cook. :p

High: the sun is out! we've had rain all week and finally today the weather was beautiful!

High: I'm on my way to the Pi Phi house at UNC-CH to help with Prefs tonight, tomorrow is bid day which will be fun.

Lows: can't think of many except I'm hoping the hurricane disappears! I wish it didn't have to hit anybody!

highs: my classes today seem really cool!! :)

highs: 1 hour of class tomorrow (12-1) and then it's the weekend!

lows: just found out semiformal is nov 19th.. which is the same night as the first bball game (and my bf is a starter) booooooo

i guess my choices are:

a) dont go to semiformal and go to the game
b) go to the game and go to semiformal after if its not too late
c) dont go to the game and bring a friend to semiformal

argh :mad:

im hoping for b... im not sure what time semiformal starts but the game should be over by 10ish...

Highs: It's my last day of work!!!

Lows: I have absolutely nothing to do. I want to leave but no one has said I can go and I don't want to ask and I don't want to skip out because that will reflect poorly on me.

high: One month from today is my 22nd b-day! Wow I feel old and this year has flown by. I'm going home this weekend and I'm very excited! Recruitment starts in less than week! Woo hoo!! I'll soon be able to be a pi phi again!

low: my airconditioner in my car isn't fixed! I have to drive 3 hours home with my cat in the car! Yikes!

So I know I already posted for today but I have to post again but the day got worse.

High: Tomorrow, my dad, my 2 brothers and I are all going out to lunch! They go out to lunch about one a month but since I'm here I getta go too! I'm excited.

Low: (this is where it gets worse) I got in a car accident on the way home from work.

High: My car and the other car are ok. Phew!

Low: My dad yelled at me for the accident, and while I was packing to come home(to my parents home) I scrapped my foot on my bed and I have a HUGE gash on my toe.

Low: Well as I noted on the earlier one I was going to take my cat but since the air-conditioner didn't work in my car after I had my cat in my car I decided to take him back to my home(at school) because he was panting and drooling and everything and now he has to spend the w/end all by himself(my roommates aren't going to be there).

High: I got to Albuquerque with no problems.

I am so glad today is over!

low: being stuck on a very crowed bus for over 30 minutes today and having to listen to people complain about not having anywhere to sit

highs: being able to understand the complaints! (fyi, I am in Buenos Aires, Argentina for Fall Term) and actually being online at the same time as Arrowgirl! yay for sts chat time!

HIGH: Spent the weekend at Arrowmont for Officer's Workshop (all TGCs, CPPs, APPs, Directors, Grand Council meet every two years) for training and leadership development. It was an amazing weekend. We are very fortunate to have so many talented ladies leading our organization. This is an exciting time to be part of Pi Beta Phi

LOW: My ears refused to 'pop' when we were landing... still hurts this morning although I can hear again. <between my tooth hurting from last week's root canal, and my ear hurting from flying on that little plane... ouch>

Highs: I'm almost finished my second week of school. I am loving it. Some of my professional classess I feel are kind of silly, but I'm still enjoying them. I'll be starting my part time job soon. I had a fantastic time this past saturday with my friends as we celebrated my belated birthday. And this weekend I'll be seeing some of my sisters...I can't wait.

Lows: I have a really bad cough and I know why...but still, it's annoying.

Highs: I have a job! Also I am the high bidder on two awesome Pi Phi items on eBay! :)

Lows: My feet hurt and I am hungry.

HIGH: I was the top seller at the department store last Wednesday...they announce the top sellers to the staff the morning after that selling day.

LOW: A co-worker had to tell me that I was number one because I didnt make it inot work on Thursday. Instead, I was in a car accident. :(

Wow, I didn't realize until now how long it's been since I've posted here!

Highs: My parents came to visit me this weekend, and I hadn't seen them for almost 2 months. It was a great weekend! School is still going well, but it's still taking up most of my time. Also, fall is here!

Lows: I'm not sure what to do for Homecoming weekend. I was going to visit my bf that weekend, but I just got an email from a sister saying there is an open house that weekend. I want to go to both, but there is no way I can make both happen.

Highs: School is going well.
I saw some of my sisters on Sunday and hope to see some more next week.
I finally have my job interview on Wednesday, after trying to arrange this job all summer.

Lows: I just found out I have astigmatism. It's really mild and I have a mild prescription for it. It's actually not that bad of a low for. I was having trouble seeing distance for a while now and I am relieved that I finally have something to help me. I don't mind wearing glasses and I won't have to wear them all the time. Just when I'm in school.
I still have a bad smokers cough. I really need to quit but it's so hard.

Okay, I am going to do this backwards and you will see why:

LOWS: On Thursday on the way to work my boyfriend and I were in a car accident. I hurt all over. :(

HIGHS: My parents drove 9 and a half hours from Michigan as soon as they found out. Also as of yesterday my bf and I have been together a year and a half. :) Of course we both hurt too bad to actually celebrate . . . :(

I forget how long it's been sincle I last update, so I'll just stick to the recent stuff.

Highs: It's the weekend, and I was able to get a full night's rest last night! It's beautiful here in Bloomington, and I had a great day yesterday. (I mean how can you not when your supervisor brings Panera bagels to the meeting?) Also, I'm 95% sure I'm going to cut my hair this weekend. Anyone that knows me will know I usually have short hair but have been growing it out. Well, I'm tired of it. LOL.

Lows: Hearing about what happened at Butler was hard yesterday. I have a ton of work to do this weekend. Next week I have two tests, a paper, and a project due. I'm scrambling trying to get externships set up, and now I have to take the Praxis and do more work to get my Indiana teaching license. I'm not feeling extremely stressed (yet) but I can feel the pressure starting to build!

Recent Highs: I got nominated for Homecoming Court! I'm going to be representing Pi Phi on the court this coming weekend, and I have a really awesome, fun date! :) And a wonderful dress!

Recent Lows: I already have so much work and so many errands to run! And we had a 4-hour meeting with AAC today!:eek:

Highs: had a nice day at work, lots of sweet patients right now! had a nice relaxing weekend..my parents left for europe today for 2 weeks...and my sister in law is pregnant! (she's hoping for an ADPi legacy this time, her little boy is only 10 months old!)

Lows: just more rain, it's depressing b/c the fall weather here is usually so nice. It's hard to be excited about anything with long cloudy days.

Highs: Work has been going good.. the summer rush has slowed down and now I can relax a bit more. Last weekend I had a lot of fun visiting my brother and sister-in-law in DC. We went to a concert and went out to eat at this really good pizza place on Dupont Circle. The weather (other than today) has been great around here lately.

Lows: Its raining today. I don’t think we need any more rain for a while. Our water in our well has just started to get back to where we can drink it.

Highs: My hair is cut short again. Yeah! I missed it. Oh, and I get to see my bf this weekend. :)

Lows: This week is just one big low. I have two tests, a paper and project due. I'm seriously about ready to pull my hair out. :(

High: Well, my week is over. I'm visiting my bf this weekend.

Low: Yesterday I found out my dog died. My family has had him for 14 years now, and my parents are taking the loss pretty hard. I'm pretty bummed. :(

Highs: I had such a fun weekend this past weekend. Got to see a bunch of friends and then I met this really great guy. :D This on the same night I had told my friends that I didn’t need to be set up, and that I didn’t want to date anyone for a while (my ex of 4 years and I broke up about a year ago.. and since then I tried to date different guys, but I just wasn’t over him and stuff, this is very different though)

Lows: My left eye hurts.. I hope I don’t have pink eye or something..

Highs: I was 2nd-runner up on Homecoming Court this weekend!!!

Lows: I have been doing Pi Phi stuff since 5:00 today! :eek: (I mean, I love Pi Phi, but that's pretty overwhelming!!!)

Highs: I was voted as Scholarship Chair for my new member class
Lows: I have been very sick all week :(.... and its HOMECOMING week at that!

Highs: my friend is in labor!

Lows: my friend is in labor, no really she's our lead therapist at work and when she's gone I'm next in line to be in charge. Of course she wasn't due for 3 more weeks so I'm feeling a bit unprepared for the next few days! Keeping fingers crossed we won't be crazy busy.

Highs: I got elected onto our Bylaws Committee and 112 days until i study abroad in Florence, Italy with 2 other PiPhis!

Lows: we've got composite pictures today, and i don't have time to shower :eek:

Lows: I have a big scary GreekMythology exam at noon :( Also.. my room is a horrendous mess

Highs: I can finally relax after my exam is over and get excited about the rest of the week: recruitment/interviewing for the peer counseling group I am a part of, my parents coming to visit this weekend, and my school hosting the 2nd presidential debate THIS FRIDAY!!! (Yeah, the campus is ridiculous right now -- they are filming crossfire and a bunch of other news shows on campus, and we're overrun with reporters interviewing students and filming stupid things like a kid checking his mail :confused: )
Also, we won GREEK WEEK! :):D

High: I'm taking the horseback riding class and I have never ridden a horse and today I got my horse to trot! I was very excited because for the past week I have just been walking around the arena. My mommy is coming to visit me this weekend(its parents weekend) and my last mother/daughter tea!

Low: I'm all sweaty from my horseback riding class and I don't have time to go home and shower! I'm thinking of moving out of my house, I decided I can't live with other people. And need to live all by myself.

Highs: Well that really great guy that I met last weekend is coming to visit me this weekend. :D We have talked each night since we met and its crazy how things have worked out.
We are having a party for my aunt’s 50th bday on Saturday, get to see most of my family.

Lows: I have bad cramps, I get really, really sick every few months when I have them, so I am hoping that doesn’t happen this weekend with him in town. :(
