Lauren, collegian from Tau chapter at the University of Toronto (Initated 6 Dec 2002)
I'm an AGD for many, many reasons. First, (the reason I rushed at all), my mom and my grandma are Alpha Gams from Rho chapter. When I went through FR, AGD was the house that seemed to be the most sincere and was a place that seemed like it could turn into my home, as opposed to the other houses on my campus (I will be Panhellenic and not go into the reasons why I wouldn't want to be associated with anything besides AGD :P). I love everything Alpha Gam and I can't wait for Convention 2004! |
Welcome Lauren!! :D

Welcome Lauren! :)

Lacey
Valdosta State University--Theta Sigma Collegian I joined Alpha Gam because I felt the most sisterhood from these girls. I didn't feel like I had to put on a different mask to be a part of them. Each of the sisters I met were so wonderful and really made me feel welcome. And since I've been initiated (April 2001) I've had nothing but good times with my sisters!! Its been the best thing to happen to me. I've grown into a better person. I've matured as a woman, gained leadership roles, become more involved with campus life, and increased my self confiedence. And I could not have done it with out my Theta Sigma sisters!! :) I have SO many memories. But, most of they are from sisterhood sleepovers. I enjoy just staying up all night talking and giggling and playing games with my sisters. |
Welcome to GC!

Welcome Lacey! :D

Welcome, Lacey!! I've been hearing wonderful things about your chapter!!

Name: Tara Marie Flannery
University: Eastern Michigan University - Zeta Alpha Chapter Collegian since Fall of 2002 I joined AGD because I felt comfortable when I was with them. They acted like me and I was comfortable enough to be myself and I knew that I would come to cherish them as my sisters. My favorite memory so far, that's a hard one, I haven't even been an AGD for a whole year yet but there have been many great memories, painting the kiosk, serenading, and of course the scavanger hunt was a lot of fun. I miss them all so much but only 18 more days left until I move into our chapter house with some of my other sisters, and I know it's going to be a blast getting to live with them. I love all of my Zeta Alpha Sisters as well as all AGD's, and I'm so proud to be able to say that I am an Alpha Gamma Delta sister. :D |
Miss Tara Marie!!! :D Welcome to GC, babe!
(I miss seeing you, like when you used to come visit me at AB). |
Hey Leslie, I miss you too. We'll have to get together this year. I never see you on AIM anymore. Did you change your sn? I'll make sure to come visit you soon. I'll be moving into the sorority house in 18 days. :)

2) Belmont University/ Theta Tau 3) Collegian 4) I joined AGD because I had transfered to Belmont the semester before and while I had made friends, they were all leaving after that first semester and I wanted to have more friends and feel a part of something. It was hard because I had been so against the whole greek thing, but once I started going to COBs and getting to know the girls, I knew it was for me. My favorite moment is either at the retriet we went on while I was still a pledge, or initiation (cuz I was the only one initiating and I felt so special that they would do all that for just me! - note: this was spring semester) So I'm still very new to AGD cuz this all happened this spring. I found these boards and after reading through all 20 something pages I had to add my info! :) |
Britney, welcome to GC from a fellow once-anti-greek-but-changed-her-mind-after-COB sister! :)
|
Welcome Brittany!! COB sisters are just as important than formal recruitment!! After a short while, it's hard to remember who pledged when, lol.
|
Hey Britney I went to WKU- and was around when we helped install you all!! I hear your alls' chapter can sing like no other! Help some sisters out that are tone deaf!
|
Welcome to all the new GC Alpha Gams! :)

2) University of Washington/ Iota Chapter 3) Collegian 4) I joined AGD because when I rushed I felt like the girls at AGD's were the most sincere and that they wern't fake like other houses. And the biggest thing was that I could picture myself living in the house and being friends with the girls I talked to during rush! My favorite moment was when my roommate and I found out that we were going to be twins! Everyone thought that we were best friends from high school...but I met her on bid day! We have the most amazing friendship and I wouldn't trade it for the world! |
Hey Jennie!
I am from our Delta Beta Chapter at Washington State Univ! Welcome. :) |
Welcome to GC Jennie, Britney, Brittany, Lacey, Tara Marie and Lauren! :D

I am Michelle
From University of Oklahoma/Upsilon Chapter I am a collegian, about to become an alum,,,this is my last year :) It is hard to choose my favorite memory from Alpha Gam, due to the fact that there are so many, but this year, the night before rush we had a fireside and after the fireside our vp recruitment had us all stand up and turned the lights off and we sang the Alpha Gam hymn. It was one of the most special times in my life, because it made me realize how much i love my sisters and how much i love being an Alpha Gam. Afterwards we had a candlelighting and it was the first girl from our senior pledge class to get engaged. It was a great night! I joined Alpha Gam bc you could definitely tell the love and sisterhood that was here in this house during rush. I wouldnt want to be anywhere else right now! |
Welcome to all the new GreekChat Alpha Gams!!!:)

Welcome to GC, Britney, Jennie, and Michelle :)

Hello! My name is Julia, I actually just registered on GC and wanted to check it out!
I'm from Eastern Michigan University's chapter- Zeta alpha I should technically be a senior... but I have decided that I am having so much fun being at college why rush it, so I'm a forth year sophomore, 3 credits short of being a junior. These are the funniest times of our lives, why rush you know? Anyways, I never saw myself as a sorority girl when I came to college and neither did any of my friends. Everything was working against me for rush because my parents are very anti greek. But from the very first moment I stepped into the Alpha Gam house I have felt so much connection with so many people. It is like a second family to me and I don't know what I would be doing now if I hadn't found AGD! My favorite memory... I can't even say because there are so many! Much love to all of the rest of you Alpha Gams, I hope to be able to talk to some of you and get to know other women from different chapters! :) |
YAY!!! Julia is here. Welcome to GC hon. I miss you. I'll be home in a few days though and then we can go out and sing till our lungs hurt. :D I love ya hon.

Welcome to GC Julia!!!:D :p

roll call
1) Dee
2) Zeta Alpha '84- Eastern Michigan University 3) Alum 4) Why I joined? There were a lot of reasons! There were only 4 NPC groups and 1 local at EMU then. When I asked fraternity guys about the reps of each group, their response about Alpha Gam was "They're stuck up, they won't sleep with us!" where the other responses were not so good! Alpha Gams had the highest GPA on campus, an Alpha Gam was the Panhellenic President, an Alpha Gam was the Student Government President AND they were down to earth, unpretentious and fun women! Favorite Memories: I can't pick just one.. Bid Day, when, back then, they just showed up your door singing at the top of their lungs to hand you your bid, the day I got my sis-mom (who was exactly who I wanted!), Initiation Week was also Greek Week.. what fun!!, one of my sister-daughter's weddings where we circled her and sang Candle Lighting Time AND, Convention '93.. my first Convention.
