I don't know enough about chapters at other campuses, but if I had not been a Gamma Phi Beta at Minnesota, I am fairly sure I would have joined Alpha Chi Omega- their chapter is lovely, too.

I would have joined Phi Mu if we had it at Clemson. My real life sister is a Phi Mu. When it comes to chapters on campus, if I hadn't joined KD, I would have picked Alpha Chi Omega.
|
If I weren't too shy to have gone through Panhellenic Rush, I probably would have gone with AGD. (Which isn't to say that I wouldn't be in OPA as well! One of the ladies of our chapter is an AGD.)
I don't know enough about the personalities of sororities that we don't have on our campus to be able to judge which of them I might have gone with. |
i probably would not have gone greek at all.
but if i had to chose, probably kappa sigma. |
What a question!
Theta at my school. In general Theta or Pi Phi. |
I didn't do Panhel Rush; coming in as a freshman, I knew nothing about it and all my friends thought it was weird. Today, I still don't think that I would fit in too well with any of those chapters - I think I'd be overwhelmed by the size if nothing else. I did go to one day of Rush for the local sorority here, Chi Omega Tau, which was cool, but I'm glad didn't happen. I don't plan on staying in Atlanta, and I want my sorority involvement to be a long term thing. So for the options that have been available to me on my campus, if there had been no OPhiA ... I suppose I'd have pledged APhiO :)

On my campus: Pi Phi, and that's kinda a stretch, KD was just so perfect a fit for me I couldn't see anywhere else
Any other org: AGD, I just have always loved the way those three letters look and sound together! |
i probably would have prayed to magically become male so i could do guys' rush. there's no other sorority that fits me as perfectly as Sig Kap, but if I was a guy, I'd go Theta Chi. No doubt about it.

Looking back on it -- the best fit for me (if Chi Omega wasn't there) would have been:
Alpha Gamma Delta (but I prefed Chi Omega & ADPi) |
I think I would have gone ADPi if my chapter didn't exist, but I was always really impressed with the ladies of DG and AGD as well... One of my h.s. friends wound up the president of AGD during our junior year.
If I had gone to the "other" big state university in Washington, where AXiD doesn't have a chapter, I think I would have wanted to be an AOPi. |
I would have never gone through rush had it not been for the girls in my chapter. I did not even fill out paper work until the last day of COB. However had I joined another group it would have been the local on my campus ( lambda Iota).
|
Maybe Delta Zeta, because my mommy is one and that would be a cool bond... I don't know, I only rushed Kappa!
|
If SDT had not had a chapter or even exisited I would have either been a DPhiE and proud of it, or I would have started a new chapter on my campus...probably would have shot for an AEPhi or Alpha Delta Gamma.
Keep in mind that there were only 3 sororites on my campus when I pledged, I recieved bids from 2 of them...the last was not going to give me a bid because the girls in the chapter at the time just flat out did not like me....there just were not many options on my campus. |
I had some great relationships with some women in AOII and DZ so if there were no Sigma Kappa, I'd have gone to either of these houses.
|
Delta Gamma, the other one I preffed. Great girls, but KD was just perfect for me, so thank goodness I found those girls!

I tried that one time and pledge a local that went ++ and it didnt work out.
I liked and knew a lot of Guys from All of the Houses but decided I wanted to go something New. They went National and changed a lot. After I left them, I decided to do My own thing and did!:) I liked many of the Guys in each Chapter but they just werent Me. If I didnt start a Local, then I dont think I would have been a Greek as I am tday, 40 Years Later! |
