Hard to tease out from the chapter images at my school, which had most of them.
#1 would be Delta Sigma Theta, (hey, we're being hypothetical here). All the DSTs I've met in my industry (phamaceutical/biotech) are amazing women, and for DST (and all the BGLOs), sorority truly is a lifetime of sisterhood and service. Also Chi Omega, because damn, I wanted an owl lavalier, and not just the same old two or three greek letters Tri-Delt and Theta have a lot of famous alumni Although I complain about ASA being a relatively small national, and although I don't know anyone's ritual but my own, without giving anything away, I'd be harded pressed to believe anyone else's ritual is as lovely and inspiring as ASA's.... |

Based on just going to the National HQ websites I would choose: ZTA- it is the most eye catching and I think would appeal to new members. It was the only one that looked different from the rest and it screamed "sorority" to me. PIN: Hmmm this is much harder because I think the majority of pins are pretty. It would probably be easier for me to pick one I didn't like. Philanthropy: I have to go with AXO- it is timely and relevant- not that others are not, but it speaks to a lot of PNM's. Symbol: I have several that I like: DG- anchor- you can find stuff with anchors every where. Kappa- the keys at Tiffany's are to cute! Theta- the kite- I have seen very cute things done with this one. Pi Phi- the arrow National Organization/Reputation: Kappa, Theta, Tri Delta When I was in school: I wanted to be an Alpha Phi when I began recruitment because I liked their house and they were perceived as the best on campus. I transferred to another school my senior year and would have chosen Pi Phi. Thanks for coming up with this. |
This is an interesting thread. Hmm....
I think several NPC groups are great for varying reasons. If I had to narrow it down to just three, these would be my selections. 1. Kappa Kappa Gamma- strong organization, drawn to the "Monmouth Duo". 2. Alpha Chi Omega- Every AXO lady I've met over the years has been very classy. A very sweet and nice group at my alma mater. Go Marquette! 3. Theta Phi Alpha- I am Catholic and love that this organization was founded for Catholic women. However, Pi Beta Phi it is for this girl until the day I die! Happy to say that my younger sister chose Pi Phi too. Although, there are so many wonderful groups out there, I wouldn't have minded a "Panhellenic" family. Whoo-Hoo! Cheers Ladies! |
I'd choose Zeta Tau Alpha so my daughter and I could be sisters. Also, I love that crown. Zeta has hands down the best symbol for a "girlie girl."

Hmmm. Based on colors/symbols/all other superficial shit and NOT having to do with what I actually thought of the groups on campus...
Kappa Kappa Gamma Kappa Alpha Theta Delta Zeta But, I would really have only wanted to have joined KKG, KAT, and AOPi (at Ole Miss) besides ZTA. (XO, AOPi, and DZ at MTSU) ********All groups aforementioned are breathing a collective sigh of relief that they didn't bid me... Lollers!****************************** |

What a fun thread!
I would have liked ZTA based on their colors, symbol, philanthropy, and b/c they are also part of the Farmville Four :) . I have also always liked Pi Beta Phi, because a girl that was one of my friend's roommates in college had transferred to our school, and where she came from she was a Pi Phi, so I got to see the colors and badge of a sorority I was not very familiar with at the time. I also like Chi Omega, since their colors are really pretty, have a cute mascot, and also since they were founded at University of Arkansas, home of my favorite football team! |
I would have been a Theta Phi Alpha because I like the way the letters look on shirts and their Creed.
However, I love Delta Zeta's house at Purdue! |

This thread has been great to read.
So, if my campus had had a Greek system, and I could have had my pick of any of the NPCs, my first choice would unquestionably be Alpha Gamma Delta. Hands down. They have a hugely special place in my heart because of the links between the organization, its founders, and Wesleyan, and the diabetes philanthropy is meaningful because diabetes affects my family. Other than that, for purely superficial reasons: DPhiE - I like their history and I think the purple and gold is really striking together. Plus I think the nickname "Deephers" is really cute. KKG - I adore their colors, the fleur-de-lis, and the symbols. KD - The Dove commercial with the little girls makes me cry each and every single time I see it, and I can't think of a better cause to be involved in than helping to build the self-esteem and self-worth of little girls. And there just seems to be something so elegant about KD, just based on what I've seen here on GC and on their website. |
Kappa Delta because their philanthropy is dedicated to preventing child abuse. As a certified sexual assault/domestic violence advocate, I love their cause.
Though nothing could separate me from those DDD's ;) |
I would have definitely gone AOPi....
My aunt was one and I can remember she had so many good memories and pictures of all the fun she had. I was dying to be an AOPi when I went through recruitment!! |
First time poster! Woot!
If I had to choose any other chapter besides my beloved Kappa I'd have to say: ZTA: My grandmother was a Zeta and I value family traditions alot, so being a sister with my grandmother would have meant something to me. Plus their symbol is so cute. ADPi: Began in Macon, which is like my second home to me. Adore their colors! They scream "I'm a sorority girl" to me. DZ: Really connected with them during rush. Have yet to meet one I do not like. Another chapter I'm a legacy to. Man my daughter will have choices ha. I'd just like to say its really a beautiful thing to see members from all different chapters come together and promote Panhellenic spirit. Its something that should be embraced on all campuses. |
Well since I'm not the only guy. If I had a daughter I wouldn't want herto join a sorority (Sorry ladies). I would want her to join Psi Upsilon more then anything else. (Beautiful thing about being coed. At certain schools at least, any child would be a potential legacy. )
