My ABSOLUTE favorite is Snoopy's Christmas (by the Royal Guardsmen). It is so cute :)

Does anyone have any new favorites?

My all time favorite is the Holly and the Ivy. So beautiful.

Agree.

Despite my grinchiness about lots of carols there are quite a few I love. These are probably my favorites:

The Wexford Carol

Some Children See Him

The Christ Child Lullaby (Taladh Chriosda)

Infant Holy, Infant Lowly

In the Bleak Midwinter

This probably gives something of an idea of my taste in Christmas music.

And yes, I know I've said elsewhere I generally hate carols sung by pop artists. But Alison Krauss and Yo-Yo Ma on the Wexford Carol and James Taylor on "Some Children See Him" are hard to beat.

Have you heard the Steeleye Span version of "The Holly and the Ivy"? Best ever rendition, at least to my mind. Please listen and tell me what you think.

My favorites are oldies:

I'll Be Home For Christmas...from World War II. It always made my mother cry. (I believe that she lost someone special during the war but wouldn't talk about it.) I always remember her when I hear it. I was at the local mall this weekend and I heard it on the muzak. Much to my daughter's horror I started to cry...quietly...just a few tears...and my daughter was so mortified I began to laugh. And yes, I put on my sunglasses.

We Need A Little Christmas...Johnny Mathis version and Ave Maria by Barbra Streisand because of a family connection

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I absolutely love Trans Siberian Orchestra. This is my favorite of them all.

Definitely one of the best, if not the best. Gorgeous!

I love the classics.

Also love Adeste Fideles as we used to sing it in church when I was a kid.

My favorites are still the ones that I posted in this thread earlier. :)
