^^All lies! Well, not really. Just the fall colors. I wouldn't get married in the fall. I prefer late spring or late summer.

Honeychile, we had a December wedding and surely saved a ton because we only had to pay for bouquets. Your light blue, silver, and white snowflake theme sounds fabulous!

Thank you! The colors that we seem to agree on are (if we don't go for the hunter green scheme):

Bridesmaid dresses, cumberbunds/ties. Not navy, more of a royal or marine blue. Check the ribbon on the bouquet below for a more exact shade.

Accents like napkins. In, um, Azure?

For the flowers, I'd like the old fashioned cream, pale pink and white roses, with magnolias or gardenias. Picture the following with pinks & creams instead of all white, green, & purple flowers. At least, something on that line:

White twig trees as centerpieces with a very slight dusting of glitter, with crystal snowflakes. Of course, we do need to set a date yet - which I won't do until we set a few other things!

I really like that one ^. I'm really partial to Bells of Ireland though. Here's a pic of my bouquet, which was white roses (for TD), bells of Ireland (proposed to in Ireland and lived there), thistles (for Scotland live/d there) and little sprigs of wheat. My bridesmaids just had plain wheat bouquets.

Christmas season weddings have to be the easiest to plan for decorations. The church was set to go, and since our wedding was so close to Christmas (Dec. 16), the local craft store was having a blowout sale on decorations. We did our entire reception hall for about 50 bucks. Our colors were cranberry, dark mint green and silver. The cake had sugar snowflakes and glittery sugar sprinkled all over it, with an acrylic topper that looked like an ice sculpture of a bride and groom dancing. Wouldn't change a thing if I did it all over again. Except the groom. I would have a different groom...

My sister's doing a peacock theme. Greens, blues, teals, and peacock feathers. I'll let y'all know specifics closer to Sept.

One of my best friends got married the weekend before christmas. it was beautiful! I was supposed to be in the wedding, but I had to drop out as her wedding date was 7 days after my pregnancy due date. (unplanned pregnancy...no idea if i would still be preggo, or have a newborn. i ended up going to the wedding on saturday evening, and going into labor on monday). She had champange colored bridesmaid dresses, with a black sash around the middle. everything was done in black and cream colors. favors were adorable christmas ornaments that said "Tis the season to be married." they had an eggnog fountain, too, which was a huge hit. i wish i had pictures!

Navy/pink must be a really popular color combo right now. The last wedding I went to (4th of July weekend) was a navy/pink wedding too.

IMO, that is navy and fuchsia...I was thinking of doing a more soft pink.
I need those Louboutins in my life...and the money to buy them.

More like this-ish?

Another really popular color combo lately is pink and brown:

Yep! I love pink and brown, but I didn't want to do it because I associate it so much with Gamma Phi.
Pink and gray is also becoming more common as seen here
