At the time, we required a certain number of sisters to have met someone before we were allowed to vote on them. I enjoyed this girl's company so much that no one else got to talk to her, and when it came time to vote, there weren't enough sisters who had met her. I'm SURE she thought I had cut her - especially since she had only talked to one person.

Oddly enough, we because friends, and ended up in another membership organization together after college, and she used to tell people "This is LionTamer, who cut me from her sorority in college". On the upside - just like LilLady, she ended up a ChiO and was happy as pie.

I see the reason for your post, but wouldn't this fall under confidential membership selection information?

LT went to school 20+ years ago. This may or may not have changed since then.

Congrats, LilLady! Welcome to the Sisterhood!

My chapter is Pi Zeta at Western Michigan University (I'm an alum now) - just across the lake from you all! Oh, how fun if they do your initiation...though I suppose one of the other IL chapters would make more sense! Like Northwestern since it's so close!!! :p

Enjoy your new member period!!!

It's really none of my business anyway, seeing as I am not an ASA. It just makes me cringe to read anything like that, even though she was just trying to be helpful.

I believe it will be either Northwestern or Carthage who will do our initiation but...rumor has it that someone from Nationals might come up as well?/ I don't know yet but I'll post as soon as I do. :)

It's so cool being a founding member. Your new member class will probably get the "royal treatment" from HQ, not to mention that few sorority women get to experience a chapter installation. Congratulations to you and your new chapter of Chi Omega!
