Whatever you do DO NOT WEAR CROCS (or their rip-offs)!

To work/ church or errands? Because I own some crocs that I wear just on lazy days and I constantly get compliments on them. Since I got mine my best friend has bought a pair and my mom bought some yesterday. They are inexpensive, comfortable and have good support without being tennis shoes for running errands in. I hated them when I first saw them, but as time went on they grew on me.

So I was on the Nordstrom website looking for a cute dress, and instead, what do I see? This monstrosity.

It's available in denim, black, plum, berry, ink, and willow.

I think I'm going to cry now.

My high school teachers have to buy their frocks somewhere.

And again, just because it's for sale in a store does NOT mean it is in style and you should wear it.

And if it were a pretty jumper, I would find it passable. But that seam in the middle kills it. They need to put darts instead of the seam. And perhaps lace it up as well. It would fit so much better.

JUMPERS ARE NOT OKAY AFTER AGE 5.

That seam in the middle is not the only thing that's wrong with it. That whole ensemble should have never been created.

I agree about the clog/mary jane types but what about the flip flop versions? :(

This just made me vomit.

My mother insisted on wearing that nonsense when she worked with kindergarteners in public school. She dressed much better once she got to private school.

I would say the 80's are in again as far as music and blowing coke are concerned. Dress though I find a little hard to believe.

Just because Nordstroms sells it doesn't mean you have to buy it.

Just say no to Jumpers.

Jumpers with darts and lace? Are you 60? Most people over 60 wouldn't even wear that. If you want people to take you seriously, start dressing your age. Say goodbye to the jumpers and invest in a few nice pieces of clothing. You can't use being a librarian as an excuse as my biological sister is a children's librarian and dresses MUCH better.

Scandia 08-19-2006 07:32 AM

Don't worry, it's not like I wear jumpers like that to work or ANYWHERE.

I was just suggesting things that could make such a piece of clothing remotely passable. Something that would remotely suggest that the woman wearing it actually has A FIGURE.

But that thing is all function and no style. I like my clothes to have aesthetic appeal, thank you very much.
