I forgot to stock up on makeup before I moved to nowheresville for the summer...here I come, online ordering!

I love BE, especially in the winter when I'm working. It's so easy to apply and blends beautifully. In the spring and summer though, I usually just use a little burts bees concealer, mary kay icicles in bronze, blush (sometimes BE but usually Estee Lauder,) and Carmex for my lips. I'm outside a lot, so I try not to use too much that will melt or run.

I just ordered the Nars blush "orgasm" from sephora...I can't wait till it gets here!

I wear glasses too, and the one thing I've learned is that you really can go bolder or dramatic or go a bit sparkly behind glasses. Mascara is your friend, even if you don't have time to do anything else on your eyes! I've been trying to get the smoky eye down since my eyes are so dark anyway.

There are a lot of makeup tips and tutorials here and here, so have fun!

Actually this depends on what the glasses are correcting. If you're farsighted, you should go light on the makeup as the lenses will magnify your eyes. If you're nearsighted, however, pile it on. :) The days I wear my glasses to work, I don't dare take them off as I'd look rather Mimi-like.

I'm still having mascara issues. Revlon's new one looks good, but I'm afraid it would clump like the other one did after I had it a while. Try the DiorShow at Sephora if you have one (they have individual mascara brushes for try-ons) - I'm glad I did, cause all my friends were raving about it but it was not my bag at all.

Okay, take my comments from the perspective of my astigmatic nearsightedness! :D

That happened to me once. I was so taken back by how much eye make up they put on me I didnt make it out of the store. I did wha ti could to get the most of it off in the dillard's restroom sink. Couldnt stand it.

I once had a lady at the Dior counter put so much turquoise and purple eyeshadow on me that it looked like I had a goldfish around each eye.

I use Dior Show now and to be honest, I am not that impressed. I was disappointed because I had heard awesome things and rave reviews. It just didn't live up to the hype for me. :(

eta: Maybe I'm applying the mascara wrong. I apply it normally, bottom to top with a slight wiggle of the brush. 2 coats. Does Dior Show have a special trick I missed? I just don't understand why everyone else loves it and I am just not impressed. I'm weird like that I guess.

I ordered the waterproof diorshow mascara late last night from Sephora so I'll give opinions when i get it. :) I do that too though---two coats on the top lashes with a slight wiggle of the brush, and one coat on the bottom with a slight wiggle. I also use an eyelash curler before applying mascara and I make sure there are no clumps on the brush before I apply (otherwise the clumps end up on my lashes). I also like to slightly bend the brush when i take it out of the tube for the first time to help with the ease of the application. I do notice a difference in the look of my lashes when I use an eyelash curler first. I do have one of those eyelash comb thingies that came with a brush kit I bought but I havent used one of those in a long time, so I dont know if it would make much difference or not.

I purchased the Bare Minerals Smoky Eye Tutorials set back in January. I love the colors but for me I like the smoky eye look better for night time wear. I feel like it's too dark or too much eye make up for daytime. It comes with it's own "smoky eye" brush!

I just ordered entirely too much Smashbox last night!

Anyone have experience with their:
creme eyeliner
focal point mascara?

I also picked up shadow, lip gloss, and concealer. Someone should really block all shopping sites from my laptop!

I ordered it and hated it. It came out looking pepto-bismol pink on me. Like something really horrible from the 80's. One of my sisters tried it in the store and hated it also.

Diorshow Mascara

Okay. Today is my first full day of use of Diorshow. I know it isnt a popular opinion here, but I love Diorshow! It makes my lashes so big, it doenst run with my watery allergy eyes (the waterproof Diorshow atleast), and it keeps my lashes curled for 9 hours with no reapplications.
