thin mints--i second the homer simpson salivation
|
My favorite
Hands down, my favorite GS cookie is DoSiDos.
While peanut butter is far from my favorite "flavor", I will kill a box of DoSiDos in a minute. They taste so good, they have me chantin' the following: Do si ladies, do si do Come down lightly on your heel and toe That old school (1800s) fiddle promenade type music, popularized by Malcolm McLaren in his song Buffalo Gals. Anyhow, my honorable mention are the Thin Mints. As for Trefoils, good name for APO pledeges, not so good as a cookie. JMO. |
I like the peanut butter ones (Tagalongs I think) and the ones that used to be called Samoas (I think they are Caramel Delights now).
I don't eat a lot of sweets, but it's hard to turn down the Girl Scouts when they attack you in the grocery store. I think I'm one of the only people who isn't a thin mint fan; I just don't like them all that much. |

Samoas are the best. I put them in the refrigerator and eat them cold, usually with a tall glass of milk.

i too hate the cafe cookies i have a whole pkg sitting under my desk at work right now. I ate the whole box of tagalongs in one day. the first day i got them back. yummy! |
Thin mints are my favorite, but they have to be straight out of the freezer. I got some in the freezer now.
|
one thing i noticed is that each region/area has it own cookie they sell. so any cookies that you haven't heard of...then just know it is just for that region or area....
Like I have never heard of Thanks - a - lots |

But they are still good....*drooling* |
Sorry to crash, but my Gold Award daughter said to thank everyone who buys Girl Scout cookies everywhere! She has had a great experience over the last 13 years with GSUSA. Cookie sales help Girl Scouts nationwide.
So keep eating those Thin Mints. P.S. In Massachusetts she sold Caramel Delights. In 6 other states we've lived in, Samoas were for sale. |

Love the new Cafe Cookies. They remind me of Biskoffs. My hands down favorite are the Trefoils.

The reason that cookies differ in name/taste from place to place is because there are two bakeries that provide Girl Scout cookies so they offer different recipes or different names on the same recipe for your favorite cookie.
My favorite is definitely the samoas. No matter what anyone says, caramel delites aren't the same! P.S. Alum-congrats to your daughter! As a 15+ year Girl Scout (I'm now a GS trainer) the Gold Award is an amazing accomplishment! |
Andy Rooney from 60 Minutes were talking about the Girl Scout cookies. Keebler (yes, the elves) makes them in Louisville and another company from Richmond, VA makes others. Knowing know that Keebler makes them partly explains why these cookies are sooooooo goooooood!!:D
