it's not just them that believe in a tiered system. LIFE is all about tiers, haven't you realized that by now? my top tier sorority aside, it is my top tier undergrad and the fact that i am attending a top tier graduate school next year and will certainly attend a top tier law school in the future that is going to ensure my success. there is no possible way that you can say that someone who goes to a bottom tier school - or even a school at the bottom of the first tier - can be anywhere NEAR as professionally successful as someone attending an ivy. someone from a crappy school that succeeds (and yes, that's what bottom tier schools are to those of us who bust our asses to work hard and get good grades and go to good schools) is the exception, NOT the rule.

is it that impossible to believe that anyone else reads some of the crap on this board and feels like commenting on it? i don't know who alum is, or who anyone is - and i'm sure your moderators can verify that by looking at my ip address.

Crack is cheap. I make TOO MUCH MONEY to ever smoke crack. It's in the bottom tier of drugs.

Tiers arent a bad thing, jsut an organizational tool...But then again I doubt many of you low tier people would be happy to be oouted as lower tier.

Dude, i'll out myself right now as a low tier person. I went to the worst school in the country. I can't believe I was hired by people and work with people on a daily basis who went to top tier schools.

kkg83 02-22-2006 05:42 PM

i find it very interesting that none of you have even bothered to respond in an educated manner to my post. i am actually looking forward to reading a coherent response from ONE OF YOU that proves me wrong. however, i guess there really is no way to explain that you can go to state u and be more successful than i am, so have fun making stupid "comebacks".

I concur. Great minds think alike.

I want to know what school she goes to that's so "top tier" . . . given that the last time I checked, there are about two schools in the entire South that would fall into the "top tier" ranking in terms of prestige. ;)

I cant believe you stay employed with over 5000 posts. Seriously, who has that much time.

Yes, because it's not like I've been a member for three years or ever post when i'm not at work.

nice wink, sugar and spice. you've really caught me now.

maybe you should read my post again. did i ever say i that i went to school in the south? nope, don't think so. although i did apply (and was accepted by) four southern schools that i would consider very prestigious (uva, chapel hill, vanderbilt, and emory), so maybe you should check your prestigious list. my school is actually in the midwest and has been ranked somewhere in the top 12 by us news and world report for at least the last five or so years. happy now?

oldrowPHI 02-22-2006 05:51 PM

Since there are only two prestigious schools in the South, might I ask which ones you are referring to?
