Hell no....I've even talked to a lot of Filipinos who don't think Filipinos fall under "Asian". Ever notice on questionaires that under ethnicity, there's often a box for each "Asian", "Pacific Islander", and even "Filipino"?

The area where my dad grew up in Detroit was primarily Italian and Fillipino. Both groups were discriminated against big time in their high school so they formed the Essex Avenue Brotherhood Association (EABA for short). They were a tight group of guys and are still in touch today. Some weren't able to tell the difference between the Italians and the Fillipinos. One of the Fillipinos them had a last name of Monticello. When I moved into the house I'm in now and met the neighbors, they told me their last name was Monticello and I asked if they had relatives in Warren. They didn't and said that their last name is Italian. In short, surnames don't always give away ethnicity!

See, but in your case you weren't JUST defending your race. You openly attacked Ivory just because her "being Asian" wasn't the same as your "being Asian". You even went as far as saying "Thank God I'm a Delta Delta Delta"...were you insinuating that your GLO was more superior than hers?

Judging from your username it appears that you've chosen the legal profession as your trade of choice. Is it acceptable to attack those in court (and say, call them IGNORANT) and question their character just because their opinions don't match yours?

NYCLawyer... I usually try not and post in heated topics, but if you would like to make aggressive, attacking comments towards other GC posters, as a fellow sister, please refrain from posting your letters. Not only do you make yourself look bad, but it reflects on Tridelta as a whole.
I know you are new to GC, so you haven't learned the nuances and norms of posting here. It is not necessarily what you are posting, but how you are posting and blantantly attacking another member. Firecracker was gracious and classy enough to extend the symbolic white flag, but I promise you many GC members will not give you the same courtesy in a similar situation.
